The focus on defense thing is scaring me. Everyone around the range the flyers are picking at should be forwards. And then I see Meltzer replying to a top 10 mock that has all forwards going in the top 10 saying he'd be shocked if no defensemen are picked in the top 10. It screams we're not picking bpa we are picking the best defensemen. Kind of like how all the shills were tweeting about trading Giroux to test the fan reaction to trading Giroux.

I think the management leaks stories to the media that they like intentionally to garner good graces from them, judge fan feedback and temper fan expectations to "the plan" for sure. You are naive to believe otherwise

Wow, I mean you'd have to be an idiot not to know it came down to two players: Gauthier or Jiricek. And I think Jiricek's knee was probably the deciding factor (the team was injury adverse).
