The funny part of Scheifele is just that he's horrendous defensively but the two-way rep lasted well beyond its expiration date because he's big.
I think he was decent defensively, but that team has been coached to be offense first and hope Hellebuyck saves the day. They were good defensively initially under Maurice but seem to have gone downhill the last five years. And their record reflects that.

Some players are like cockroaches, you just can't kill their career:

Just shortly after he cleared waivers and was assigned to the AHL’s Providence Bruins, Boston Bruins forward Patrick Brown was recalled back to the NHL roster today. The 31-year-old veteran forward will likely be in the TD Garden press box for the Bruins’ opening-night contest against the Chicago Blackhawks, though he could end up claiming the fourth-line center role on the team should rookie John Beecher fail to carry over the momentum he built in the preseason into regular-season action.

Anyone watching the preds TB game?

On ESPN + and ESPN

I don’t know if anyone has Hulu live

But their guide has it listed on ESPN + but

ESPN just says original programming

Tripleheader

Bedard debue next

It's official. Now that the NHL season has kicked off, this is the first year that there isn't a single rostered player in the league older than me.

Craig Anderson was the last guy.

I is old.

Chin up, Methusela. At least you're still mobile enough to type at your advanced age.

(I am very slightly older than you are.)

I think Chara was my last hope, and I might actually have a year or two on him.

Verbeek is awful.

*automerge probably*

He probably asked to be waived, because he was scared of Nic D. Or not, but I'm sure Attard is grateful.

I was at serious risk of this happening with me and the Flyers but luckily the Flyers are a bunch of dinosaurs who should continue to roll out some ancient(Stasl this year) for the next 4 years.

That Bedard/Crosby interview was tacky as hell. I get that they want to do the whole new guy/old guy thing, but did they really have to make them put on the whole uniform for that?

“Holy schnikeys, look at the ooey gooey chicken parm on that top cheddar schhhnipe!”
"a twisted wrister!"

I don't care how well he's playing, you can't trust a man with two first names.

Except Paul doesn’t count, because they named a Pope after that name John Paul

This Paul played like Leclair tonight in that office

Watched the end of the TB/Nash game and holy cow that ESPN broadcast crew was awful. Like possibly the worst broadcast team in any sport anywhere.

I was hoping ESPN + had the TB feed nope simulcast ESPN
