If the Kings had goaltending id consider them a Finals contender. They've scored strongly all year and as I recall had ass tier goaltending. Basically the Bryz era Flyers with offense to win, but struggling to outscore their goalie nightly
They have Korpisalo now who has ruled in this series

The Kings acquiring Fiala's rights for #19 + Faber, Danault as a UFA for $5.5MM x 6 years, and Arvidsson for #40 + #84 in a 12 month period is a perfect representation of the Flyers' failures in their "win now" mandate. That's an entire proven top 6 line created out of thin air at a relatively cheap cost on multiple axes. Whether or not the Flyers should've made moves like this is a separate discussion from the fact they totally fell flat on their face trying.

I'm a sucker for a good heartbreaking upset. Edmonton fans really thought this was the year.

Whoever gets the Bedard pick, maybe?

*deep breath* I don’t think he returns that pick.

Is there anyone in the bottom 11 that would trade that pick in for a win now piece? You’d need a ready to win team AND a market that can keep stars. I would guess best case for Edmonton in such a deal is a lower lottery team moving up but not to 1?

Hockey is more fun in the playoffs. Ya know, when you're not watching the Flyers. Hate watching was kind of fun this year, but next I'll be half interested, especially depending on the direction ofthe off-season goes. But this is fun hockey. I miss that.

So intent to blow the whistle doesn't exist now? Only when they want it to?

The first time i heard of this rule i thought, "Intent to Blow" has to be a porn name, no?
