So if JvR nets a worse return than Tarasenko, we can admit the trade was lost at the outset rather than fighting about the how/why/what of Chuck getting fleeced for next 3 seasons?

The only issue with JVR is that he's also a few years older than Tank. If we could hold onto 50% of the salary and get a late 1st, then f***ing do it.

Tarasenko has 111 points in his last 113 games. Not the best comparable for JVR who has 59 in his last 115.

Friedman did say that Tarasenko took full advantage of his NTC. To me, it sounded like the only place he wanted to go was to the Rags to play with Panarin.

Jealous of the blues tho. They will sell ROR and barbashev. Could easily get 3-4 1st round picks

Ya terrible year for me too. Werenski, voracek, Duclair, landy, demko, jarry, hughes, caufield.
ROR won't garner that much, he's not the same player he was three years ago. And has been injured.
Barbashev is scoring at a third line pace this season.
They have value, but not "break the bank" value.

Zero hyperbole in saying the Flyers have the bleakest future outlook in the league until there's drastic changes.

Shit NHL team, shit prospect pool, shit drafting, shit development, shit coaching, shit management. There's literally nothing going well right now or looking good for the future. And they're completely delusional about it all.

Chuck has dug them into the deepest hole in franchise history and he's still here to continue digging because everyone involved with the team is completely incompetent.

Tarasenko had a big season last year, but so so this year and has been dinged up.
Last year 3.26/60 at 5x5, but the four healthy seasons before that (missed 2 years due to injuries), 2.29, 2.21, 2.12, 2.05.
This season, missed 14 games and is scoring at a 1.85/60 pace.
So you're betting that he rebounds the last 20 games and the playoffs.
He's also fell off defensively, xGA/60 last year 3.12, this year 3.24, injuries may have taken their toll.

JVR isn't as talented offensively but plays a more consistent game and is solid, if limited, defensively.
last four years 2.27, 2.11, 1.60, 1.89/60.

I expect JVR to either garner a late first or the equivalent of (2) 2nd rd picks in value.

last year
Rakell , 2nd, Simon, Aston-Reese, Clang G
Lehkonen, 2nd, Barron
Copp, (2) 2nd and a 5th
Jarnkrok 2nd, 3rd, 7th
Toffoli 1st, Heineman (#43-2020)
Janmark 2nd, 3rd

Even so, I can easily see ROR getting a similar deal to tarasenko. A few teams are in on him and that can increase the price as well. Barbashev, something similar to jvr
