Nah they have no shot. Kamloops and Seattle in the West and maybe Winnipeg in the East. Can't see anyone else winning the league.

Tarasenko @ 50% + Mikkola for Blais + 1st + 4th + Skinner
On the trade thread a lot of people are calling it Tarasenko for the 1st, and Mikkola for the 4th because NY needed a 3LD. Blais and Skinner are cap/contract dumps.

Nyr still have another first too…flyers, a rebuilding team, has less picks in the first 2 rounds than a cup contender does

I forgot that Kratsov went five picks ahead of Farabee in 2018. He currently has 10 points in 47 NHL games for his career.

Is it because Seattle went all in? They are close in points but I keep reading Seattle is the team to beat. Probably going to go on Saturday but I have not paid much attention this season.

Lower of the Dallas/NYR 1sts. Still a fine return for St. Louis' for expirings.
Not sure how much Tank has left. I probably would have taken that first elsewhere.

Partially, yeah. Just think they have more impact talent. Seattle has 7 drafted forwards + Sawchyn who will go fairly high this year + Crnkovic who may be the best OA in the league. Korchinski on the backend to feed all of those forwards. Hanzel is a pretty underrated player too. Plus two legit starting goalies. They did get shutout by what's left of Everett though the other night.
Portland just can't match them. With Lucius out, they have no drafted forwards. I love Cagnoni, but he can only do so much from the backend.

Yes. Rangers didn't trade for the player from 3-4 years ago, they traded for the player who's been dinged up.
Tarasenko had a great scoring season last year, but also shot 16.67%.
2021-22: pp/60: 3.26, xGF 47.31%, xGFrel -0.98, xGF/60: 2.78
2022-23: pp/60: 1.85, xGF 44.50%, xGFrel -0.89, xGF/60: 2.58
JVR
2021-22: pp/60: 1.60, xGF 48.09%, xGFrel +2.25, xGF/60: 2.48
2022-23: pp/60: 1.96, xGF 51.63%, xGFrel +6.26, xGF/60: 2.60
You could claim part of Tarasenko's falloff was a team issue, but JVR has had to deal with that the last three seasons.
Tarasenko has more upside, but is also more inconsistent.

Don’t feel bad, I have Caufield, Norris and Werenski all out for the year. The last few years I have always had key players out of my lineup for over half the year.
