Who cares about Erik Gustafsson? Everyone hated the signing for an inferior, horrific defensive player to counterproductively leech Ghost's usage and sap his value (this was Fletcher's $3 mil Niskanen replacement, mind you); hated that they waived Ghost just to make sure they could net a 7th rounder for Gus; and I'm not sure anyone has thought about him since, until this moment, because he's a fringe NHL player.

That Fletcher gave up a 2nd rounder to give away the most currently effective of those 3 names, while trading/signing the others, isn't the mic drop you think it is.
