So what teams do you folks watch right now? Obv we all follow flyers, but I'm not really inclined to watch those games.

I love watching cool hockey stuff happen, it's just a real shame it's been literal years since I've seen this team make it happen.
I thought I had a cool little gif of Ghost doing Ghost things, but I can't get it to work. But man, rookie Ghost was fun to watch. His little shake move reminded me of Iverson on skates. True joy and amazement while watching. It's been a long time since I felt that way watching this team.

I still miss Ghost's uncanny ability to keep the puck in the zone.

Still has flaws in his game but Buffalo is basically telling him to go out there & create offense specifically with his shot defense be damned.

So you're suggesting Buffalo is a model franchise we should emulate?

Unfortunately, time waits for no one, and it didn't wait for Ghost.

His "Ozzie Smith" diving keep was instant legend. Here's another fave.

Time's waitin like a motherf***er for Risto though, no? With another two years maybe Torts can fix him.

Edit: And how is Ghost doing this year? That damn Father Time, eh?

In the year of our lord 2022? A tentative yes? I know this is a novel concept for a Flyers fan, but other organizations often do full scale regime changes. Buffalo had a LOT of bad managers and coaches, and guess what? Early returns say they may have finally got it right. Much like the Devils. Probably a year or two further back though.

The Flyers, meanwhile, are chained to a rock while the advisors swoop down every day and eat its liver. Maybe next time, with a different chain the advisors pick, things might be different for the Flyers! Note in this metaphor: Fletcher is a chain.

Just wait for Risto to win the Conn Smythe.

He’s outplaying Tony Angelo who’s two years younger.

How Gus doing this year?
pp/60: 0.52, xGF/60: 2.51, xGF 50.56%
He's fourth in minutes per game, #3 with Orlov out.

Ghost 1.07 pp/60. xGF 2.16/60.
TDA 0.68 pp/60. xGF 2.25/60.
Maybe TDA needs teammates who can finish plays?
