Came across this interesting chart from McCurdy, for the 2018-19 season, are there updates available?
Note three coaches, Torts, Hakstol and Gordon.
Seems maybe Hakstol was maligned, but Gordon deserved the brickbats:

Hakstol was garbage. Dude believed he should chase Crosby with Macdonald.
He watched the Giroux-Couts-TK Provorov-Ghost group of 5 CARRY this team to the postseason and right before the playoffs start he decides it’s a good idea to change the lines and pairs to be “heavier”.

One of the dumbest things I’ve seen in my entire life.

In case anyone forgot, this was a lineup he actually iced in a playoff game

And he stuck with it despite getting demolished. No chance he has more than even a handful of brain cells.

Hakstol was screwed no matter what he did. That team had no business making the playoffs.

It's easy to forget how bad they were, Lehtera, Read, Lindblom, Patrick, Fippula, TK, Raffl, Voracek all sucked that series, same with Manning, Gudas, AMac,
The only forwards who played well were Simmonds, Laughton and Couts, D-men, Provorov and Sanheim/Hagg.

GF/GA:
G 3/13
TK 1/5
Voracek 2/6
Raffl 1/6
Patrick 1/6
Fippula 2/7

Ghost 2/10
Manning 0/5

Ahhhhh the cherrypicked stats without any context. Of course.

I bet Hakstol would have been a lot less screwed if he didn't do a whole bunch of stupid shit, like ruining his own lineup and playing in a ridiculous shell from the opening faceoff.

And as proof we’re cursed to be tortured by this team forever, we somehow managed to downgrade our coaching staff when we were finally rid of him.

Better yet, he then goes to Seattle and finds a way to f*** us over again by Hakshelling away a 3-1 lead in the 3rd period of the last game of the year for the regulation loss, instead of leapfrogging over us by merely getting to OT. We could’ve ended up with Wright instead of Gauthier.

Eh Flutch still picks Gauthier cause he's a size queen, but Hak is still a total dummy behind the bench.

No HC was going to win with a team with Filppula and Patrick as your 2C and 3C, or AMac, Manning and Gudas on defense.
And face it, Ghost and G were MIA in that series.
Couts rose to the occasion, but didn't have a lot of help.
And the goalies had a collective .852 Sv%.
How the f--- did they take the Pens to 6 games?

G - Couts - Voracek
Raffl - Filppula - Simmonds
Laughton - Patrick - TK
Lindblom - Lehtera - Read [who were putrid]
