Feel like that's not a Vegas-type guy with the other team selling high, but I also can't blame that price.

Islanders come back to win 4-2 over the Blues. They get to go to California this weekend.

I can totally see how these can be a nerve-wracking days for some of these players. Sure, they make their money and they live their dream and all that, but the uncertainty of having to fear that phone call that may come around deadline day can't be fun. Especially for those with families.
If my boss told me 'Oh btw, you'll have to move to the other side of the country tomorrow', I'd probably just quit lol.

I think, from what I know, for a lot of the younger guys it is not "that" big a deal.

But I have heard that for some of the guys with wives, children etc it is a serious, serious matter. Partners have careers themselves, children in schools etc... a big potential stressor.

They do get paid good money... and most players do love the sport and without the things "around" them would play in probably, on average ~25/32 NHL cities quite happily with no real issues, no stress once moved.

But imagine, everyone here with partners/partners & children... telling your significant other that you are moving to LA tomorrow... for the same salary... and hey, you are basically on your own for the next ~3 months unless you drop everything and move too? That will cause some stress even in the strongest and most understanding relationships and families!

I remember reading awhile back about player being traded from California to Oilers and how they had to buy a house with heated garage so his wife could push the stroller around in the circles to get baby to sleep or something. Obviously during the Edmonton winter.

In a vacuum sure, but what is Buffalo's plan with all of those LHD? They have 3 former top 4 picks now fighting for the same role.
