Pens are toast. They’re also going to be bad for a long time. Down to the Flyers, Isles and Devs. No way the Caps keep up.

Just noticed Markstrom has 5 assists this year. He's more of an offensive weapon than Deslauriers. It's like Rosehill, but a decade later and he is in the lineup every god damn day. They really need to fire everyone and sage the building.

Malkin scores and doesn’t even acknowledge it. Just skates to the bench.

It sounds like Conroy & NJ had a deal in place enough to ask Markstrom to waive his NTC which he did but then Don Maloney stepped in on behalf of ownership & nixed the potential deal. So that’s where Markstrom’s beef is/was I guess he warned himself up to the thought if being traded only for it not to happen at the last minute.

I haven’t read this but I’m going to guess that Maloney isn’t keen on retaining salary. They’ve only retained on 2 players since RST’s were introduced. One is right now on Tanev and the other was David Rittich. Both pending UFA’s.

It didn’t state what the reasons were for Maloney/ownership nixing it.

I was wondering something along the lines of money too &/or the possibility of goalie returns just not being strong in general.

Well, I can tell you where Sheldon Keefe or Mike Sullivan will coach next season, if it's not with their current teams.
