Prioritizing Fisto over Eichel was hilarious at the time, and just looks worse in retrospect. What an absolute blunder by the Fletcher administration.
I just view the Fletcher administration as one big blunder… it helps me cope.

Instead of a series of 30 awful decisions, each worse than the next, it was just one really bad decision (hiring Fletcher).

Penguins are cooked with that one. Yegor Sharangovich with 2 goals including the winner on Miikka Kiprusoff night.

The Flames are basically in the same exact position as the Flyers, only way more convincing with their intentions. Unless you’re Jacob Markstrom I guess.

I think every team in the division from the Flyers down to Pittsburgh is in the exact same position. Detroit came back to earth the last couple of games. Tampa cannot figure their goaltending out.
This whole mess won’t be sorted out until the final week

Tampa and Detroit are not telling people that they’re going to sell. Pittsburgh ain’t rebuilding either, just very self-aware.

But Calgary has actually been selling people who otherwise could’ve been signed and made part of their future despite having a much better season than they should be.

Pittsburgh isn’t going to sell so long as they have Crosby and Malkin. Tampa isn’t going to sell either because they have the Cup core pretty much intact.
They’re supposed to be moving Guentzel. But they want prospects, not draft picks
