I heard it was kk, necas, and picks
That would’ve been a pretty awful package for Vancouver IMO, unless there was a lot more. Would’ve been a huge mistake if they were actually considering dealing EP40 without at least getting the Canes top prospect.

So strange to name him captain and then cut his minutes down to 4th line all within 2 weeks. I agree he needs to be better and everyone should be held to the same standard but so odd.
Torts believes in a merit-based allocation of minutes. Unless your name is Atkinson. Or Staal. Or Deslauriers. Or Frost (but in the opposite way of the last few guys I listed).

Yeah idk what all was included but from what I saw on Twitter the big pieces were necas and kk, along with picks, no idea if any prospects were involved

Nuts. Markstrom has a full NMC. He’s in control of his destiny. If he wants to stay and keep his name out of the trade chatter it was easy to do. Just go to the press and tell them that he won’t accept a trade. If he wants out he could tell that to the media. He has no beef with the organization

Didn't he waive his NMC and then the deal fell through? He's willing to move.

Right. So if he waives his NMC his name is going to be in rumors. He shouldn’t complain about that.

I think it's more that the Flames management came out and said they won't trade Markstrom because it would disrupt the feelings and flow of the roster for the Flames.

The Flames were supposed to be not even talking to Markstrom unless there was something serious, which we’ve yet to hear happen even though we’ve been hearing about the possibility all season.

Rumor was that the Devils were interested in acquiring Markstrom and wanted to know if he was amenable to a trade to NJ. Supposedly he said yes but the deal was not consummated.

Is it lost on anyone how many ex-Flyers goalies are out there doing well for themselves?

Stolarz has a .924!
Lyon is basically a #1
Martin Jones worked his way back into the league
Pickard somehow
Cam Talbot, but that wasn’t real, and he was traded for Stolarz

That’s 4 out of 5 guys from the 2018-19 8-goalie season

Mrazek is still serviceable on a dumpster fire of a team.

Do the Flyers still have the same goalie coach as they did then?

Petersson 8 year extension in Vancouver. Current roster needs a 1C and a 1D so bad. Should’ve moved heaven and earth for Eichel even with his injury issues back then. We likely won’t be drafting one anytime soon smh

He had more games with Lyon than Stolarz and they were both in our system for years. Between training camp and call-ups should’ve seen there was something there.
The goaltending coach doesn’t get much hands-on time with goalies not on the roster during the season. Until teams started hiring them for their affiliates, they would have to make trips whenever they could until teams started making hires for their affiliates
