At least Nathan Bastian lasted a few weeks before getting claimed back, but the price was getting his ass kicked by Nate Thompson.

I’m surprised mouthguards are barely worn in the NHL when in rugby they are mandatory and they even brought in ones with sensors this year that are supposed to indicate when someone has suffered head trauma that needs to be checked by a doctor.
If I see a hockey player with a mouthguard they are usually chewing on it.

Hockey players even at the non-pro levels cannot wait to strip down as much equipment as possible.
Hell even in roller hockey where there’s less equipment from a general sense compared to ice hockey. They’ll strip elbow pads for example.

It’s the most dysfunctional team without question, management and coaching (related). With another possible lottery pick on the way, that team shouldn’t be the dumpster fire it is, even accounting for injury. You know it’s bad when I’d more so trust the Flyers to develop Kent Johnson.
