The Canadian media is insufferable. The staunchest defenders of Reilly are of course retired marginal NHLers.

I was at the Stars/Leafs game last week and I’m a fan of neither team, but I got pretty giddy when Marchment lit up a Leaf and gave him a bloody nose. It was the hero I needed.

Side note, the dudes behind me were talking about the deadline and how they want Walker or Risto… preferable Risto. I almost turned and offered to drive Risto up for them.

Very much this. A clean check, and Greig would have been the villain here. Rielly needs to get the gate for a good long time because he had an entire world of responses available to him, and he went for "hit the guy in the head with my stick."
