This was where I arrived. If you pay him what he's worth on both sides of the ball, he's now too valuable to play on both sides of the ball. And he can't punt any more either, you're doomed if a blocker "accidentally" takes out his leg on a punt.

He'd have to be underpaid to get maximum utility. McDavid style.
