Not at all. Addison went down the lineup because he sucked. Rossi was moved to try and find any semblance of line chemistry amongst the bottom 9.
If they are playing a long game with Rossi, maybe they think these linemates will better acclimate him to the league. Baptism by fire in the sense that he will learn to create his own opportunities.

I like that possibility more than I like the possibility that Hynes/Billy G actually think the Italian line is a good idea to win games.

I think we all agree he should be playing with better players. It’d also help if he had more to work with on PP2.

It’s annoying that we are seemingly slow-cooking all of our prospects. It’s been bad enough dealing with the buyouts for 5 years. It may work out eventually but man it can be aggravating

dewar definitely has some wheels. But Marat should bring more speed and offensive IQ. I really think Haula will prove an accurate comp. Hopefully he ends up like the Nino-Haula-Pominville version. That Haula was a lot of fun to watch
Marat is a quick player/shifty. I think there is a difference between top speed north south and agility/quickness.

I don't mind slow-cooking at all, but I don't trust what they are doing in Iowa, regardless of injuries/personnel this year.

russo was on kfan today said fleury may want to play here next year? while yurov has a contract ready to sign theres still a small possibility he could be here next season. also small chance heidt could. so russo thinks both dewar & duhaime could be traded.

Why the hell would Fleury want to play here after missing the playoffs this year? I'm gonna call BS, Russo.

They'd have to move Gus, and I don't know if that's a smart move yet. Unless they want Wally to have a good mentor in Zucc Fleury.

I just see him retiring. Would be shocked if he doesnt.

I bet the idea is that they're spooked by Wallstedt's one game this season (and I suppose his subsequent cold streak), and they plan to keep him in Iowa full time another season, maybe thinking there would be more opportunity for NHL callups next year too.

It's a possibility. I just don't get why Fleury would want to continue with this mess. Although, he already has 3 Cup wins, so maybe it's not as big a deal.

Actually, I don't know if I want Wally to start his NHL career with this mess. Maybe wait till we lose the dead cap hits the following year.

Gus is my most disappointing player this year, and it isn't even really close.
Yep. Went from one of the best goalies in the league to one of the worst.

I’m really curious to see how the Spurgeon situation unfolds over the next couple of years.

our D was much worse this year especially after losing addison (just had to throw fuel on that fire) so i understand gus bus having an off year. he'll be better next season. i do think we overpaid him (billys fault)

Last night might have daggered them. We've said it before and watched them go on unexpected hot streaks but that was a bad loss. 'Go lay by your dish' kind of loss.

I think a loss in regulation tonight will make it very hard to make the playoffs, but so much depends on how teams like STL, NSH, SEA, and CAL do. If we do squeak in, I'd be shocked if we won a series, let alone went on a Cup run.

The roster this year is just simply not good enough. Last year we got stellar goaltending. Two years ago everyone had career scoring years. This year has been a reality check. Simply a shortage of talent all the way around from forwards, D and in nets.

Hopefully we don’t miss out on the Top 12 or so consensus prospects. Really like this class and most the prospects in that range would be nice fits

Wait, we play again tonight?

Maybe not having Spurgeon is a bigger factor than losing the guy who was terrible on defense. Just a thought

I'm having a senior moment right now, I thought we got the blues on saturdays this month
