You're not wrong that it may not resonate with all people, but the Sports Gambling industry is worth billions with over $57 Billion wagered last year, and that was in less than 15 states in the country where it is tracked at legal books. Draftkings and Fanduel are sponsoring and paying for these time slots, and every broadcast company will gladly take their money. It would be foolish not to.
My personal point is that they are making all of that profit at the expense of people, I personally do not like gambling at all. Just like the beer ads, keep it to the commercial breaks where I can regulate it rather than the broadcast itself where young eyes and ears can be listening. I know it’s a violent sport, but gambling addictions are very devastating and often start at a young age.

I won’t tell others not to do it beyond my own family, but I also don’t think it should be shoved down the audiences throat like it is for some teams.

Totally understand where you're coming from. Unfortunately, when it comes to it being shoved down the audience' throat, the money always wins mantra comes in and I think that's unavoidable. If MN ever does legalize it, you'll hear about it on local broadcasts a ton more.

Who goes down when greenway is back?
I think everyone is waiting for that one. Rossi is the only one who doesn't need to pass through waivers, i think?

If not for that it would be Steel, unless he really looks good in the first few games. Then, maybe, Jost, or Dewar.

I have this feeling that They are going to take their time in getting Greenway back, and that Guerin might be contemplating a move for another, heavier, bottom six forward, with one or two of Jost, Dewar, Steel, and possibly a pick going the other way.

Boldy too.

Unless I missed something, we're only carrying 12 forwards and 21 players right now, aren't we? Nobody has to go down, Dewar/Duhaime/etc just get relegated to 13th forward duties.

Jost still feels like the guy without a spot.
Found one:

I don't dislike the guy, but he's 'as advertised' from Avs fans. Shows flashes of skill, but never really seems to put it all together. No reason I wouldn't want him to do well, but I don't see him doing much. He's better than a warm body, but not by a lot IMO.

I thought Jost played pretty well last season after the trade. 🤷
I thought he played well as well... but people sometimes see what they want to see. If you didn't like the trade and don't like the player, they could play great but you'll still see nothing but faults.

I also think he's been good, even better during the preseason this year, so I'm hoping he actually does get some top 6 opportunity this year, but we'll see.

I think Jost-Rossi-Boldy could be a quality second line by the time the season is over.

This is a story you should read.

Whether or not you care about Zucc, the story also includes a lot of interesting stuff about Kaprizov.

Sanheim just got a long term deal at 6.25M, as did Weegar. Surely Dumba's agent will be looking at those numbers and asking for at least that. I think any thoughts of him taking 4.5-5M are pipe dreams.

Then he has to know he's taking a deal elsewhere if he wants those numbers.
If he wants to stay...it's going to have to be a lower number.

I don't think it's out of line to think that Dumba would take a discount to stick around, though the AAV probably still starts with a 5. But if he does take less money he'll probably want term and trade protection, which is sketchy when you've already got a.) Spurgeon and Brodin signed with NMC's, and b.) what seems like a dozen prospects looking for opportunities over the next 5-7 years.

After years and years of trade speculation it really seems like the most likely scenario is him walking to UFA.

Our goalies suck. Our defense sucks. The always reliable Brodin belongs on the side of a milk carton. And we're about to lose the first 3 home games of the season....a place where they always dominated. Everything seems upside down.

Holy crap! This may finally be the year when we get past the first round!
