My money is on Sekera.
Sekera is a damn good defenseman, and that is no secret. His price is going to be quite high and I don't think the Kings will win the bidding war.

that and I think he tests the market in July and will get a massive pay day
Let's not get crazy here. He's a misplaced second pairing guy (first on the very-bad Hurricanes) who has a total +4 rating in 9 seasons.
He might get overpaid in the off-season, but that's all it will be. Overpaid.
Then again, one can argue that a +6 rating for seven years in Buffalo means something, except for the fact that he had Ryan Miller backstopping him in goal there.
Can he help the Kings? No doubt, but he's not a world class defenseman. He's a serviceable second-pairing guy.

He did with Regehr. We all knew that was comingOne thing is for sure. Whomever Lombardi trades for it will be unexpected. He usually never goes for the guy who the Kings have been rumored after.

Buffalo fans had a pretty crazy high asking price too

Everything starts with Toffoli with them. Pure delusion.
Seriously, I find it kind of funny. Everything I read indicates that both Toffoli and Pesrson are untouchable in Dean's eyes.
As it should be.

The only way you give up Toffoli is in a deal for a current 30 goal scorer. Even so, you think long and hard.

Damn straight. You don't give up our future unless we're getting something incredible in return.
Odd numbered year= no trade
Remember back, when we all complained about that player "Capspace". How big he was but did nothing to help the team. I kind of miss him. I mean we did trade him for a couple of cups, but he could be handy right about now.

Which I can only hope holds true in regards to Phaneuf, Franson, Gardiner and Polak... yikes
The trade deadline is beer goggles for all these players.
We traded for Regehr in 2013. Odd number year means nothing. If we hang around the playoff bubble, I'd be stunned if DL doesn't do a deal.
Not to mention the trade for that unemployed pancake eater in 2011.
