As of today, we'd be drafting 15th. I'd be open to Lawson Crouse in the 15-20 range, but I'd still prefer Svechnikov, Provorov, or J Roy ahead of him.

I don't understand what Crouse has that many prospects after him don't. Severely overrated imo

It simply comes down to the impressive package he presents. People have fallen in love with Nick Ritchie when Crouse plays a complete game, doesn't take dumb penalties and impacts his team in a positive manner every night. The Subway series game he was moved up and down the lineup which shows how much trust/versatility he has to his game. Plenty of scouts have him firmly planted in the top 10, a few of those scouts think he could potentially have a shot of making the World J's. I'm curious to see why people don't like his game. The only thing I can think of is his ppg.

Might have an "impressive package" but id want more production than 16 points in 23 games from a top 10 pick.

There is a lot more to Crouse's game than his underwhelming stats. He's got the size, smarts, and shot to make the NHL and I think he has a good chance at becoming a top-6 forward. He's consistently been progressing all areas of his games since last September. Also just wanna point out that if Bennett wasn't injured, he would probably have a hell of a lot more points.

Will there be a ripple effect in signing Mark Hunter in regards to the draft?

I think this move benefits both the leafs and the knights

We haven't drafted a London knights player in years which is so dumb considering how many make the NHL

Know we will have an truly in depth scouting report on some get players

It Wii work out for both

I would ideally like to grab Marner, but no way we finish low enough to get him. Trade up?

Went to the Knights/Steelheads game today and I wasn't overly blown away by Marner. He played the wing all night which surprised me since everywhere i've read he's listed as a Center. He did have a beautiful assist but that was about it. It may have been a off day for him but first impression wasnt great. Now Max Domi and Mike Mccaron on the other hand were awesome. Domi is extremely quick and the entire offence runs through him. Mccaron on the other hand is extremely strong he drove the puck to the next every chance he got. I think Mccaron is going to be a giant pain in our maple leaf A$$ in a couple of years. Plus he dummied a kid in a fight.

Domi and Mccarron are good prospects for sure. You probably caught Mitchell on an off night. I have friends that see a lot of Knights games telling me he is usually lights out. I would still love to have Marner

The problemwith Crouse is that I don't want to draft a guy in the top ten to just play inmour top six. You should be swinging for the fences and drafting a guy who has the potential to be a star forward, or defenceman.

Ugh, the Leafs never do the right thing. When you want the Leafs to win, they lose, and when you want them to lose, they win. Only if something miraculous could happen to the Leafs, where their best players would get injured, so this team could do a legit retool..

PITTSBURGH -- New Jersey Devils forwards Jaromir Jagr and Patrik Elias sustained apparent injuries during the game against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday at Consol Energy Center.

Jagr was sent into the boards by Penguins defenseman Robert Bortuzzo with 2:03 remaining in the second period. Jagr remained on the ice for minutes as Devils trainers attended to him.

The former Penguin, who leads New Jersey with 15 points this season, received a round of applause from the crowd when he skated off the ice under his own power and down the runway.

Elias did not return following the first intermission after 5:09 of ice time in the period. Neither Jagr nor Elias returned for the start of the third period.

New Jersey also lost forward Stephen Gionta late in the first period. He seemed to favor his foot as he headed to the Devils locker room.

Penguins forward Scott Wilson, who was making his NHL debut, left the game in the second period because of an apparent injury.

...is this serious. I hope youre not serious.

I don't want anyone to be injured, but I'm kind of envious that NJ have Elias, Jagr, and Gionta ALL injured in the same game. If 3 of our best players decided to sit out, and even pretended they were injured so that we could do a legit retool, that would do wonders for this team.

It's pretty clear that this team isn't going to win, and its pretty shortsighted to be content every time we win, but be completely ignorant of the long term. I would rather add a top pick and a 1C in this draft, and build on our current core.

LOL. Really???

I'm not sure if trying to explain why this is ridiculous is gonna help, but I'll give it a whirl.

No NHL player is willing to sit out for the sake of a higher pick. Never. Not once. Especially if they are sitting at or near the playoffs. We're 24 games in and in the playoffs by a few points. The thought of tanking shouldn't be in our discussion until we're out by a good amount. Even then it won't be the players that want to tank.

Envious because we have a mostly healthy team in a playoff spot. Just plain ridiculous. Ill take playoffs thank you very much, you know the whole point of pro sports.

Not to mention, that no matter where you pick in round 1 this year, you will get a great prospect.

Travis Konechny put on a show tonight in Belleville, having a hard time imagining him not going in the top 20 at the very least.
