I really liked Sunset Overdrive, not sure if Hi-Fi Rush is my cup of tea based on the trailer, but if it's on gamepass I'll give it a try most likely

I was a little surprised when it mentioned it was from the makers of The Evil Within and The Evil Within 2, I think if they would have asked what games do you think these guys made prior to this you might guess every single game ever made before getting to those two
Played like 2 hours of it, Story, Main character and some of the art design (the types of the color palettes they use) are very reminiscent of Sunset overdrive. The gameplay mechanics and how it's laid out are quite different. This is very level based where you go from room to room/area to area, whereas Sunset Overdrive is open world.

I think this is like a B team within the Studio they recently started, while the main team worked on Ghostwire Toyko. Like, this is definitely more of a big studio using a smaller team and budget to make something more reminiscent of indie games just with a bigger budget and backing. Not saying this as a knock per se, as some of the best games of the past few years have been Indies and not every big studio/publisher should solely be focused on massive AAA games that take 5 years to make. Sometimes cool art-style, a good gameplay loop and an interesting concept will go a lot farther than spending 5 years and a ton of money on a massive open world with amazing graphics and RT but asks you to put in 50 to 60 hours and to make it feel worth it add like 40 fetch quests to increase the length (looking at you Ubisoft).

Forza Motorsport is also Series X I S only on consoles.
This seems to be the year we are finally going 9th gen for a lot of big releases. Even major 3rd party publishers are putting big games only on next gen such as EA with the Dead Space Re-make and Jedi Survivor.

Hopefully Starfield has ray tracing on PC, doesn't seem like they've shown it in the trailer or announced it.
If it's capped at 30 on a series x with no ray tracing Bethesda has done a horrific job of optimization.
30 FPS isn't choppy. Forza series and Gear Of war did fine with 30 FPS.
Those games were designed to run on hardware that is now 10 years old. It's pretty much become standard for next-gen games to offer a 60 fps mode. And nothing I've seen of Starfield indicates it's on the breaking edge of graphical fidelity.

Ive said before I did play FF7 integrades 4k30fps mode over the 60 fps mode, on hard mode, and it was very solid.

But for first person you need 60 fps.

If Starfield launches with only 60fps, people will complain enough that Bethesda will release a patch with performance mode.

I got a Series S recently with Gameppass Unlimited, first console in 13 years and first XBox and just trying to figure it out a bit. Mainly:

-The controller isn't re-chargeable so what's the best under $50 solution to this annoying issue where I don't have to re-charge AA batteries? Would it be a battery pack and which one if so or would it be a third-party wired controller?

-What are the best ways to find deals on games that won't be on GPU, something like PSPrices for Playstation. And what are the best ways to find games to actually play and to be able to sort which ones are made for the Series S/X since 2020 and which ones are just general XBox games from before like the Fable series? So far Metacritic is the best I see. I found gamefaqs very useful for PS3 but it doesn't have many ratings on Series S/X games.

The official battery pack has a 30 hour battery and is around $30, you can recharge it by just plugging in the controller

theres not an easy way to sort next gen games, it'll have an "optimized for series S/X" on the game page if it is but as far as I know its not easy to tell just flipping through games on gamepass.

Or if you mean buying games I'm not sure. Tbh the xbox store is genuinely horrible for buying games.

As the poster above said, the official kit is pretty good and fairly cheap, and comes with a USB cord.

The game tile will have an X|S logo on the bottom corner meaning it’s enhanced for next-gen consoles. There should be a section in the Xbox Store for SX enhanced games.

Give it a couple of months and you’ll notice trends with game sales. Ubisoft games go on sale very quickly and they’re generally pretty big sales. The website TrueAchievements tells you everything that’s on sale as well. You can ask here if you want to know if games are a good deal as the community here has a pretty good idea of value.

Metacritic will have every Xbox game that’s been reviewed. Is there a specific genre you’re looking for?

This is the brand I’m using. I’ve had them for almost 3 years now and they are still going strong. Still hold a charge for a long time.

At 2800mAh It’s a significantly higher mAh than the Xbox batteries (which I believe are only like 1300 mAh) and cheaper too. A battery pack usually lasts me weeks, and I always have another charged and ready to go. It’d actually on sale right now too for $18 and change.
It’s the highest mAh batteries I’ve found so far.

It’s so good. The further you go, the more fun the combos get.
