I played FC5 last year and don't know if I can do another anytime soon. Just repeated outpost-clearing with the occasional extreme weapon or stunt vehicle thrown in.
FC6 is different but with the same mechanics in some senses with one exception - FC6 (without the DLC's and post campaign tasks) is a massive game.

So I bought it and this is the first time I've ever asked Microsoft for a refund. They were nice enough to grant it after a few hours of play.

It's not for me. As a seasoned gamer but uninitiated FromSoftware player, I found it miserably difficult and completely devoid of direction/guidance.

I was drawn to it because of the accolades and the next-gen console open world. For the latter, I'll settle for AC Valhalla.

Yeah, Microsoft’s refund policy and customer service seems to be head and shoulders above that of Sony’s. Buy a digital game on PS5/PS4 and once you start that installation, you’re essentially shit out of luck, although I’m sure there may be the odd case they’ll allow it under specific circumstances. Microsoft on the other hand will let you buy a game, play it for a short time (2-3 hours?) and if you decide that it just isn’t for you, they seem to be pretty good with initiating a refund.

Japanese companies (so in this case Sony and Nintendo) don't tend to believe in refunds unless there is something seriously wrong. It's a cultural difference, as they believe the onus is on the customer to be informed on what they are buying, whereas Western culture promotes the idea of the customers always being right. So, while both should probably adapt to western markets in that regard, it's rooted in that. Having dealt with MS exchanges twice in the past month (accidentally buying two windows licenses and having 365 family office auto-renew after I believe I turned it off) and being exchanged almost instantaneously that in this regard they are great to deal with.

Yeah, I've returned several digital games over the years that had major issues at launch and they were all refunded immediately. It's not challenging with so many games being launched half-ass. I'll admit a few I just didn't like.

Ive actually gotten a refund from sony pretty easily the one time I asked for one. Although it was a refund for DLC and not a full game. Still, my chat got disconnected before finishing and they still put it through, was easy.

Wanted to get a Series S and play mainly FIFA/NHL on it plus one storyline game at a time. Gamepass Ultimate is $17 CAD per month. EA Play is $4 per month.

To save a bit of money (subscriptions add up), I was thinking of just getting EA Play and installing NHL/FIFA and then going through some of the other EA Play titles like the Star Wars games and once I burn through those, THEN subscribing to Gamepass Ultimate later on. Can you do this or do you have to get Gamepass if you want EA Play? I should add that I don't play online so don't care about HUT or FUT or any of that other stuff.

You can buy EA Play on its own.

I'd recommend Star Wars Fallen Order if you're looking for a SW game to play. Pretty cool story that has ties to the events from the prequel movies. Plus, the sequel to the game is launching in March (but won't be on EA Play for ~1 year after).

It's included in Game Pass Ultimate.

I might have to buy an old Forza 3 code from a key re-seller. Ive actually tried to pirate it but none of the cracks seem to work anymore. Tragic.
Is Hellblade worth checking out? From the trailers and videos I’ve seen, it looks more like a visual novel with not much gameplay. Am I missing something? What is the gameplay like?
It actually kind of sucks, however theres plenty of gameplay.

Think of God of War, but literally no abilitys, only attack and dodge. Also you know all those stupid puzzles in God of War where you look for the runes and throw your axe at them. Imagine those, but they're all mandatory and its half the game.

That's a pretty sweet lineup, and I've loaded up on 6 months of Game Pass at a steal (came bundled with some peripherals I picked up). Let's do this!

That said, very few of those titles are $70 titles so that math is a touch.....off

Let's get a Starfield release date. Also, Jade Empire reboot (don't know if Bioware or Microsoft has the rights to that one)

Heck yeah and heck yeah!

Man BioWare has been out of the game so long. I'd kill for another BioWare style RPG.

I admit I'm a sucker for fun games with cheesy ass dialogue.

In case it wasn't clear, Starfield is confirmed to have it's own show in the works:

To dedicate the proper amount of time for a deep dive into Bethesda Game Studios’ Starfield, a standalone show is in the works.

If I get a Series S and I get my brother one (who's in another country) then can we share a Gamepass Ultimate subscription and also, would we be able to play games with/against each other on that subscription or would we need different subscriptions?
