Meh.

He still hasn't played half of a full NBA season. By that time is when we should really re-evaluate. And in the meantime we should really set our expectations.

That’s true. But usually a good player doesn’t get held to 0 points in multiple games. Hope I’m wrong on him though.

If their role is to be a scorer then sure. That's not really his role. He's like the 4th or 5th option out there on offense whether he's with the starters or arguably the reserves as well.

Defensively you have to give credit when it's due because he's actually really good for his age.

Eh. If your starting 5 I think you need to be able to shoot. I’m perfectly fine with his play if he’s coming off the bench. Good d and passing ability.

They sign him and they're instantly the favorites for the division. I expect the Sox to take a step back.
Not so fast, my friend - the White Sox should have a better rotation even without Rondon and I consider their lineup better as well (at least at the plate). But I can see your point, since their team obviously lost steam - and perhaps even spirit - already throughout this season.

Yeah, the Sox seemed to hit a brick wall in August and without some changes I'm not sure I see them overcoming those problems.

the Wings got a Suter eventually even though it wasn't Ryan

i'm sure the Tigers will get a Correa someday even if it isn't Carlos

So, the Tigers signed a guy for $15m a year for five years...Verlander just grabbed 1/$25m from the Astros with a player option for a second year...at the same amount. Holy smokes. I loved Verlander as a Tiger, would have liked to see him come back for an encore...but that price is massive for a 40 yr old coming off TJ surgery.

The Pistons have their future closer. They need a bunch of other stuff to get them through the first 3 quarters but they've got their future closer for sure.

For the Tigers, I easily prefer the Rodriguez deal as well. But the more I think about it, I understand why Houston risks to pay $ 50m for a post-TJS Verlander - because he has the rare talent that might give a WS team a massive boost.

tOSU is going to light MSU up pretty good today in my opinion.

Of course the same thing is going to happen next week to the other team in this state.

Still 10 wins if they can get Penn State and a top 20 recruiting class is a big win for Tucker along with that massive extension. I am curious as a Spartan fan to see where this goes moving forward.

You really went against the grain with that prediction, haha. Michigan will play Ohio tougher than this, State is getting wrecked.

As a Michigan fan, I expected this outcome for Sparty and expect the same when it's Michigan.

That said, if MSU seriously wants to make Mel Tucker the second highest paid coach in college, shake their hand and let them thump their chest over beating Michigan every year.

That's crazy.

Wow. Driving back from Vegas yesterday I was listening to the shows on Sirius and people were going nuts about how large the spread was and jumping all over State. Almost dropped money myself. Thank God I did not. Slaughter rule in effect right now. Just don't come out after HT. This is an embarrassment and I am not a State fan.
