I guarantee you Frederic will look for a fight against Bunting next game. Now, the question is... does Bunting accept, or does he wait until a ref is in front of him and do his gamely "Hold me back!" gimmick?
aka pulling a Marchand

Cheap shot a guy, then next game when he comes for a fight you turtle, keep gloves on, other guy gets 2 mins and Bruins fans congratulate Marchand for being headsy and drawing a minor?

Im sorry .. Bruins fans cant talk about doing the right thing when youd cheer your boy on for doing the opposite

Looked intentional, not vicious or anything but it is inherently dangerous to kick someone while wearing a skate blade. He should get a suspension.

He's not the only player like that. There's some on the Bruins as well, so I don't get this kind of post.

When has this happened? I've only really seen it once. He beat the wheels off Lars Eller one game after he taunted the Bruins bench, then made him take a penalty the next game by not engaging him.

Not saying it hasn't happened but I can't remember him "turtling"

Who?

To be honest another 25% of daily posts here are the same handful of posters whining about Leafs fans , and half of Leaf threads aren't even started by Leafs fans... you are just describing "homers", but when Leafs fans are homers there's like a brigade of you whining and crying about their complaining...it's hilarious seeing fans from other insanely homer fanbases saying this like their shit doesn't stink.

Most don't ignore them, if they put on their big-boy-pants did ignore them (scrolling by, not obsessively responding to everyone, or even using the handy "ignore" function for posters triggering your anger), every Leaf thread would be about half as many pages. We have a dumb fanbase in Leaf land but it's still hilarious how much outrage it generates from other fans comparatively.
Here’s a helpful depiction to support your accurate statement:

Eller earned what he received, move on! Basing the entire opinion on one play. Marchand generally will drop his gloves when challenged even if the result is poor.... 10 NHL "fights" is more than most players can say in the modern NHL. Point dismissed.

In this case, Bunting absolutely is earning a reputation and he is no Marchand (talent); he is going to have to be held accountable by the league or his peers soon enough.

Who?

It’s a bad comparison either way. Bunting has 0 nhl fights and is half the player Marchand is.

Start the list, look forward to reading.

After a brief pause, and seeing "Toronto". It must be Debrusk who still agitates the fan base to the end of the earth inexplicably. Guaranteed, no Toronto player feels the same.

Debrusk has at least fought someone (an actual fighter at that) unlike Bunting.

Kinda like how apparently bunting agitates your fan base to the end of the earth, huh? You’re literally doing the exact same thing.

Debrusk did some greasy shit and the leaf fans were / are pissed. Bunting did some greasy shit and now you’re pissed. Different side of the same coin

Not a fan of Bunting but let’s be honest every team has this kind of player and generally he’s a fan favourite. The fact that he can agitate and play in a top six role makes him a valuable player and something the Leafs have needed. These guys play close to the line and occasionally cross it but again let’s not pretend any other team doesn’t have similar players. The Matt Cooke’s etc have been driven out of the league but agitators will always be a valuable commodity.
Bunting probably got away with one here but that’s hockey. Missed calls go both ways.

@Lazlo Hollyfeld

When @HofT said how the eyes of the league are always on Leafs games, I was using an example where some Leafs fans thought Lupul got an extra game to a suspension because all the NHL GM's and Gary Bettman who were in Toronto for the GM's meetings happen to be live and in person watching that Leafs game against the Lightning.

My opinion of Bunting is based on many games I've watched of his antics, not involving the Bruins. He generally is not noticeable against the Bruins in that way but now he is. Well prior to this kick. Go ahead and try to find anything other than a single period battle between Kadri/Debrusk.

Apples and oranges.

Both knee on knee hits and kicking someone with a skate are bad things for players to do.

You're trying to make DeBrusk sound like he's never done anything wrong before, when that's clearly not true.

When did i say that? I literally just said kneeing someone is stupid. You’ve been trying to say Bunting hasn’t done anything wrong this entire thread by deflecting all the attention on to unrelated things.

You may want to recalibrate your Marchand/bruins bitch meter, It seems it’s grossly out of range and out of date.
