Michael Bunting kicks Trent Frederic with his skate. Intentional or lost balance?

That’s a pretty good burn.
Only if you are bad at math.

The end of Marchand's rookie campaign . . .

Marchand licks em, Bunting kicks em.
.....and waiting ever since.

Really can't believe Bunting got away with an attempted murder here.

My guess is that Shanahan made a phone call to Bettman and had him stop Parros from dispensing justice.

God I hate this league sometimes.

With the history of Leafs players suspended since George Parros has taken over, you would think that's proof enough how their players are not getting any favoring from the Department of Player Safety. Just because Bunting was not suspended doesn't change the past.
Agreed. The Leafs have gotten away with quite a bit. The league should look into why they get favoured so much by Parros. The Bunting case is just another example.
Maybe the league should hire you to dig up some videos. 😆

I'm going to assume you are making a joke.

However, if you are serious and you think Shanahan had any influence like that, wouldn't he have made sure Matthews didn't get suspended for 2 games last season?

Until last season when Kyle Clifford got that 1 game suspension in the playoffs, all previous suspensions by Parros to Leafs players who previously had no records were a minimum of 2 games.

That list of players includes Zach Hyman 2 games, Alex Kerfoot 2 games, Auston Matthews 2 games, Jason Spezza 6 games and was reduced to 4 games by Gary Bettman.

In that same time frame other players who had first time suspensions for similar plays usually got a 1 game suspension.

Well I guess the Leafs should concentrate on being more physical instead of making dirty and dangerous plays. Can’t blame Parros because your players are undisciplined and dirty. That list doesn’t show that Parros is biased against the Leafs.
I also wanted to congratulate you on only making two threads complaining about the Leafs unfair treatment after last nights game. You showed remarkable restraint in light of the many Leaf injustices. Keep up the good work! It’s a thankless job but someone has to do it.

I never said the Leafs players who Parros suspended were undisciplined and dirty. I just stated a fact how their first time suspensions were at least 2 games and players from other teams who had first time suspensions in that same time frame were only 1 game.

You post about the Leafs more than most Leaf fans and are one of the main posters keeping this thread going despite the league doing nothing about it.
The lack of self awareness in these types of posts is always a treat, though.

I was told don’t post a picture of Matt Murray holding the Cup because 2016 and 2017 was a long time ago.

However it’s still okay to post Marchand holding the Cup from 2011?
At least he's on the Bruins when he won it...

It's always a weird flex to show someone winning a cup in another jersey.

I guess you missed the part where I said it's okay to show Marchand winning in 2011, however showing Murray winning in 2016 and 2017 I was told that happened so long ago it doesn't matter anymore.

I know he won those Cups with Pittsburgh, but that wasn't the point.

Wow! Thanks again for posting the list. I knew the Leafs had made a lot of dirty and undisciplined plays over the last few years but had no idea it was this long.
They are going to have to be much more disciplined if they want to go far in the playoffs. At least Bunting got away with one so he won’t be a repeat offender. Whew!
Once again. Kudos! Great list and keep up the good work.

If anything Leafs also need to be more dirty and cheat. The most successful teams are like that and they win (playoffs). The more frequency of these types of plays the more you'll get away with it. Refs and league don't call everything.

I think they need to be more physical. The cheap and dirty shots usually get suspensions. Playing with an edge close to the line and being physical instead of retaliating right in front of the ref is always a better strategy. Unfortunately I just don’t think the Leafs are set up to be a physical team.

No different than some previous suspensions these Vancouver Canucks players have had.

Last night Matthews was getting cross-checked multiple times by Nick Cousins, so he decides to trip him, and Michael Bunting comes in with the physical play on Cousins.

I agree and we all know that probably won't happen with this core group. But I am expecting at this point some "veteran moves" especially from the star players in the playoffs. Yknow the plays I'm talking about like secretly holding the opponents stick/body, stuff like that. It will most likely be their last chance as a group so

Yes. Matthews needs to cut out that type of play as he’s now a repeat offender.
Your team got away with one by Bunting there. They need to work on the physical play and cut out those dirty plays or it will be another short post season.
Once again thanks for posting that long list of Leafs transgressions. You’re doing a great job on here!

Trent Frederic ... is turning into a good player. I used to jokingly cheer the guy but now i find myself being a fan. A year or 2 ago a bruin fan on here told me he was on the Tom Wilson progression pace ... and he is. Guy grinds. Still looks to agitate but does it the right way now. Respect that.

17 pts in 40 games, getting 10-14 TOI, +17

Good job kid
