You live in my neighborhood? I saw a red tailed eating some fresh road kill on my street this morning.

He/She swooped and brought it up to a limb. Munched a while then a young hawk came in and had some. Just a bit ago a friggin turkey vulture set down and picked on it until it fell off the limb and out of my sight...

OMG I can relate to this one so well! Can't even count the times I played Oregon Trail back in the 80's... in school no less! Dying of dysentery was a common game ender for sure... this version? Would've been much more fun though!
