You must mean on Stubhub/resale sites? Because there are lots of tickets on Ticketmaster for Saturday night's game and Pens are charging more than CBJ charged.

Upper Bowl seats for CBJ were $60 + TM fees
Upper Bowl seats for Pens are $94-$128 + TM fees.

Lower Bowl seats for CBJ started at $120 + TM fees
Lower Bowl seats for Pens start at $210 + TM fees

Not much different than 2009 vs. Detroit. Detroit couldn't sell their tickets and were marketing tickets to Jacket Backers. I think those fan bases just kinda spoiled and don't see CBJ as a real interesting first round opponent. Wonder if Jacket Backers can negotiate a package of tickets with Pens?

$120 bucks for a lower bowl NHL playoff game regardless of the arena is a great price... Once and only once I actually paid $500 (probably $650 in todays dollars) for an upper bowl playoff ticket, it was during a Stanley Cup final series though...

So I hope the team is watching a lot of video of two matchups in preparation for this series. 1) The Bruins defensive dominance over the Penguins last year in the conference finals. How did the Bruins hold the Penguins to 2 goals in 4 games? 2) More obviously, the Flyers always manage to get the Penguins to self-destruct. Figure these two things out and implement them.

One thing's for sure: I won't be blacked out!

Another thing's for sure: I won't make it home until midway through the 2nd of those weekday games... :help:

You sound like you're coming down with a cold...you wouldn't want to make the whole office sick. :)

I think you're coming down with a case of anal glaucoma. (You can't see your ass coming into the office Wednesday!)

Just wanted to come in and say good luck before the series starts. Can't think of a better way to start the rivalry than an opening round playoff series.

No Dubinsky and no Murray at #CBJ morning skate

That's...not good at all.

I hope we don't rush Murray back. We ain't winning the cup this year. Don't **** up his future so he can play Wednesday.

Dubinsky would cut off his leg with a pocket knife before missing a playoff game. I think he will be there.

Not to be that guy, but what are Bob's post season numbers? :help:

Not great, but most of his games came when he was a 22 year old rookie with the Flyers.

He had a 1.15 GAA and 0.952 SV% in the Olympics this year... Hardly the same thing as the playoffs, but at least we shouldn't expect the pressure to get to him.

Of course, this series is a bye for the Pens according to their fans, so it's a moot point.

Was at the Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh over the weekend to play some poker. I would say a good 33% of the guys there were wearing some sort of Pens gear. They really support the hell out of that team there. Another 33% had on Steeler or Pirate gear.

Fans from Pittsburgh totally remind me of fans from Boston. So similar on just about every level.

They were probably just out for a night on the town. In Pittsburgh, dressing up means wearing your nice jersey.

And putting on a belt that doesn't say "WWE Champion" on the front of it.

Don't knock wrestling belts.

Richards says both will play in Game 1 and that he expects Umburger and Foligno to play in the series at some point.

Just noticed that Philly wound up with 94 pts. Man, 3.6 seconds and a tired goalie did us in. :deadhorse  Still pisses me off.

I choose to believe that that's either confidence in their ability to recover or recognition that they're not actually seriously injured in some way, and not needless risk-taking.

Think of it this way - last year, these laments were about us not making the playoffs at all, as opposed to not getting our preferred matchup. Progress, baby! :thumbu: :D

Kind of like OSU here.. Who ever's winning and worthy of being associated with. Bet you wouldn't have seen any Pens jerseys 7 years ago

Actually, it was the Colorado game. We close that one down in regulation like we should have, then not only do we get 1 point...we also get a ROW which means we win tie breaker with Philly. The Hawks game may have got us a point, but we still would lose tie breaker unless we got 2nd point.

Or, it could've been the Philly game we had 3-0 lead in 3rd period. We win that one and we outright leapfrog Philly

:D

Anybody got a Fluery/beachball gif? It would be a nice addition to my ongoing text battle I'm in the middle of.
