The funny thing is, is that I like the Penguins. I like Crosby, I think he is awesome, it's their insufferable fans that I can't stand. They think they are gods gift to hockey because they have the two of the best players in the game, and they try to look down on others and act like other fans are idiots because they aren't fans of the Penguins. So many band wagoners on this site that think because they cheer for Pitt they are smarter hockey fans, when in fact cheering for Pitt has no bearing on their hockey intelligence. Huge difference between Pitt fans and Columbus fans. You go to a Columbus game as an opposing fan you can have a great time and talk to people here and they treat you with respect, but you get around a Pitt fan and they are just blabbering buffoons.

Got this from NHL .com canadian press today at 4:25

The Blue Jackets flew home for a couple of practices before Saturday's Game 2. Ten players skated Thursday morning, including injured forwards R.J. Umberger (shoulder) and Nick Foligno (knee). Umberger may be available Saturday, pending approval from doctors, while Foligno probably won't play before Game 3 at the earliest.

I'm still holding out hope. I think it makes perfect sense to say he's out on Thursday, then play him, Pitt doesn't prepare for him and that throws a wrench in their game plan. And gives your team a little boost. Why wouldn't they see how he feels after another skate on Friday, or the morning skate Sat, or even warmups before the game? Just makes no sense to announce he's out 3 days before when porty and rimmer both tweeted that he looked like he was skating fine. This is the playoffs, not a pre-season game, if he can skate, he plays!

R.J. Umberger and Nick Foligno on the ice for the a.m. skate. Umberger a possibility for game 2; Foligno not. #CBJ

Umberger skating on left wing with Artem Anisimov and Blake Comeau this morning. Looks like MacKenzie-Letestu-Tropp reunited. #CBJ

Being able to skate well on your own, and being able to play hockey and have your injury healed enough to hold up against physical punishment are two completely different things

I hated the two full days off between games 1 and 2, then I thought there was a chance Foligno could return, so I was OK with it, hoping the extra days would help. As it appears not to have, I hate it again. Too long a wait.

I agree, but noon on Thursday is a full 54 hours before the game, if he was close, as stated from all involved, then why not wait and see how he feels a couple days later? Make Pitt guess who we are going to have. I can't imagine Richards showing his hand that early. I'm sticking with my hope that he might play. This is a must win game, what's the point in keeping him out 2 more days if he can skate? Put him on the 4th line and give him limited shifts, 5-6 shifts from him, perhaps power play only?

On Thursday, #CBJ coach Todd Richards said Nick Foligno would not play on Saturday in Pittsburgh. Now, there's a pretty decent chance of it.

I was hoping they would keep this a secret so Foligno could jump out of a giant wooden horse.

Porty just tweeted "Foligno has looked quick and unencumbered the last 2 days, skating really well. Even survived a Dan Hinote beat-down late in practice today"

He's playing, he's a warrior, no way he sits.

Anyone else going to be there tomorrow night? Hoping there will be a decent showing of Jackets fans.

Cool. See you guys there!

Odd question but does anyone happen to know what hotel the Jackets are in? I think it may be the one we're staying in so would be cool to see them around.

Where you pre-gaming? I'm thinking of checking out The Blue Line, their version of R Bar. Would be nice to take over their bar the way we did in Detroit in the playoffs at the Anchor Bar!

We have no plans right now. It was fun hanging out at the Anchor Bar before game one in 2009.

leaving other jersey wife here?

No idea what this means. lol :help:

Stalker... :sarcasm:

Enjoy the game. I wish I could have justified the money and not have had a wedding to go to.

I've got to figure out how to not hear the score until I can watch the game.
