Cool. See you guys there!

Odd question but does anyone happen to know what hotel the Jackets are in? I think it may be the one we're staying in so would be cool to see them around.

We are staying at the Wydham, about a mile from the arena. $80 a night on hotwire! Google said Renaissance hotel, but who knows

We have no plans right now. It was fun hanging out at the Anchor Bar before game one in 2009.

No idea what this means. lol :help:

Let's all plan on the Blue Line, right across from the arena. We'll be there around 3p. I'll be with Blue Hair guy and I'll have a Dubinsky jersey on, I'm 6'4" so it shouldn't be hard to spot me, haha.

OMG you know blue hair guy?! He is a CBJ legend at this point right up there with "mama chili" and her son "chili 3"

Yeah he's one of my best friends!

Cool. Dude is definitely loyal. Every time go back for a game, I assume he'd be gone or have put the wig away, but he always manages to be there or drinking at R Bar. Mad respect for keeping it going this long!

Wyndham if I'm not mistaken is the former Hilton, which is just across the street from Point State Park. If you're on the front, you'll have a view of the point and the fountain.

Sounds like a good idea. I'll run it past SG and see what he thinks.

#CBJ Richards: "I was watching (Foligno) today, too, for the first time and I liked the way he looked. That gets you excited as a coach."

Aaron Portzline ‏@Aportzline 1h
Foligno has looked quick and unencumbered the last 2 days, skating really well. Even survived a Dan Hinote beat-down late in practice today.

Aaron Portzline ‏@Aportzline 1h
On Thursday, #CBJ coach Todd Richards said Nick Foligno would not play on Saturday in Pittsburgh. Now, there's a pretty decent chance of it.

So is Foligno going to play? Unclear wording here.

Frustrating. If this game was tonight, I'd already be on the road to Pittsburgh. Surprisingly, an old friend and Pens STH offered me his second for either game. Alas, I could make neither.

CBJ on CBC HNIC

So it looks like the CBJ will be on the HNIC on a Saturday night all alone. That is huge, especially for all the Canadian boys to be playing in the highest profile game ever in the history of the team. With the Habs not playing on Sat, you and the Pens are it. hopefully the CBJ have a good game on National TV. Oh and Robert, Canada DOES respect you!

Sort of related: Did the CBC make one of their super awesome playoff opening montages again this year and if so are we in it?

yes, it was awesome and set to Metallica's "For Whom the Bell Tolls" - but it's been taken down due to copyright from every single site/blog that I can find. if anyone can find it, post it.

You realize that place COULD NOT BE MORE CROWDED, right? I mean like impossible to walk through before a Pens game.

I'm not trying to talk you out of going, but be forewarned, there just isn't much room in there to move, order a drink or even breathe for that matter.

SG and me will be there somewhere in the upper bowl.

leaving other jersey wife here?

He wimped out - something about dogs probably :)

We aren't leaving Columbus until 12:30 or so, so we won't be there early, but we'll look out for you guys. I'll be wearing my JMFJ third I think.
