Leafs can’t close out Ottawa, force Woll to make a massive save where he overextends himself and gets hurt.

Swap out Ottawa for Edmonton and Woll for Samsonov and that’s what happened tonight. This team loves running around in the dying minutes of a game.

Great to get the win but the Leafs seriously need to fix their penalty kill. You can’t be 25th in the league on the PK and expect to go anywhere in the playoffs

We only allowed 3 goals against Edmonton so I don't see how you can get too, too mad at that, despite the fact they were all in the 3rd. Also, take into consideration we were missing at least 3 regs and its really a good night.

I like where we're going these days, but that PK needs to become formidable again, especially in situations where the game is on or starting to be on the line. Marner back should help a little, but even with him back, they need to tighten up.

Edmundson will be huge the longer we play in the playoffs. I can already see him punishing a top offensive players on the other team shift in and shift out and by like Game 3 or 4, that player will have no legs left.

It is obvious to any hockey fan that you need guys who can physically punish the opposition in a 7 game series. You have to have guys who can put the puck in the net. You need a good PP and PK. But you also need to make sure the opposition don't just comfortably play their game.

Why Kyle Dubas didn't realize that, I will never know.

Wow, what a performance! Damper was Samsonov's injury, but a great performance nonetheless. Tip of the cap to Keefe -- he had all the right moves tonight. A high profile Canadian match up on Saturday night...McDavid supposedly trying to make his case for MVP and Leafs humiliated McDavid and the Oilers for the first 2 periods. They finally pushed back in the 3rd, but the Leafs handled it.

And once again, how about Bobby McMann?!?! Credit Keefe for letting him thrive and recognizing that he is on fire. Nylander and McMann have some nice chemistry.

A good tough game defensively. Leafs showed they can tighten things up in the D-zone when it matters.

Now hearing Sammy will be fine I am thrilled with this win.

We saw what we could do to them when we tried and the refs weren't managing the game. That's all that matters. And Auston got his goal so we alllllll good!

Agreed. It is our Achilles heal right now (and all year, for that matter). If we can fix it to at least an average PK, we should be ok.
