It is obvious to any hockey fan that you need guys who can physically punish the opposition in a 7 game series. You have to have guys who can put the puck in the net. You need a good PP and PK. But you also need to make sure the opposition don't just comfortably play their game.

Why Kyle Dubas didn't realize that, I will never know.
Too many Dubasites and Cronies fawning over him.

Oh, the ol' give the coach no credit...unless it was Berube, then he would get the credit! :naughty:
Bobby McMann got his chance and Keefe has made sure he was given a chance to succeed. He didn't keep him on the 4th line getting 5 mins a game. McMann made the most of his time and Keefe recognized it and rewarded him with a promotion. Now we see him making plays with the likes of William Nylander.

Bobby’s got a nice blend of size, smarts, speed, and finish

Fun game, goals, hits, fights, McMann “high and tight” 2 goals, gutsy 3rd, bent but didn’t break against a great third period team. Loved how they physically dominated tonight.

I havent watched most of the game, glad to see they won, especially since we are missing essentially a line, and not a bad one.

Sammy is a friggin faker. not the first time he got himself out of the net when he was overwhelmed.

Bobby Mac is the man.
Even if that is the case, if he felt anything at all after overstretching and taking a puck to the neck, he should take himself out of this completely meaningless game.

SAMMY SAMMY SAMMY SAMMY SAMMY!!!!

the Oilers got outclassed and outplayed by a shorthanded Leafs team. Oilers are just Power Play merchants. EDM is non-existent 5on5.

Wow, what a performance! Damper was Samsonov's injury, but a great performance nonetheless. Tip of the cap to Keefe -- he had all the right moves tonight. A high profile Canadian match up on Saturday night...McDavid supposedly trying to make his case for MVP and Leafs humiliated McDavid and the Oilers for the first 2 periods. They finally pushed back in the 3rd, but the Leafs handled it.

And once again, how about Bobby McMann?!?! Credit Keefe for letting him thrive and recognizing that he is on fire. Nylander and McMann have some nice chemistry.

A good tough game defensively. Leafs showed they can tighten things up in the D-zone when it matters.
Again with the Keefe love.

Are you family - for real?

You mean you didn't like the additions of Malgin and Petan? :sarcasm:

That first goal on the PP was bad luck since Lily lost his stick.. second was a brain lapse

Typical bad habits in the third reinforce that you can’t take this team seriously

That being said, a non tripping call against Edmonton shortly followed by that penalty that led to Edmonton’s second goal which started that shitshow… game management and refs nearly help Edmonton immensly.

McMann and Holmberg are great. McMann is really making strides. Speeds size and confidence. He’s looking like he could play in the top 6 most of the time.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed the 'selective' penalty calling by the Refs !!!

Why Shanny believed in Dubas' vision is what is more puzzling especially after losing in 5 out of 5 years under Dubas. Even then he was ready to extend him. Lol.

Can I change the title to McMann vs McBoys?

You have the buttons and power to.

I say use it in this instance.

He wouldn't have noticed those nuances taping players sticks and not playing the game, if we're being honest here.
