Connor is shooting more, he is shooting from better scoring area and has very high shooting percentage for that reason (of course he doesn't take much shots with hope to score, there is intention to score everytime).

2022-2023 shots projection is 360.

He has scored 3 SHG this season which is as much as his career total before this season.

One hat trick away from 300 goal milestone.

What a time to be alive and see this magnificient player in Oilers silks.

We are totally spoiled.

My kids are in age they start to watch some games with me, older said yesterday that "#97 is like doing whatever he wants there". Yeah, absolutely the best player of this millenium.

Auston Matthews puts up 60 in 73 games…

McDavid: hold my beer

70 goals, 90 assists, 160 points looks like some nice round milestones to hit

Needs 10 goals, 12 assists and 22 points in his final 10 games.

Over his last 10 he has 8 goals, 12 assists and 20 points. So slightly off that pace lol. But certainly still within the realm of possibility. Which is sort of insane to think about.

Whatever totals he ends up with this season, this is a year for the ages.

Ovechkin's career high is 65 goals and Yzerman has the highest single season point total for anyone not named Wayne Gretzky or Mario Lemieux. Connor has a chance to pass both of those marks by season's end. Absolutely incredible.
Pretty sure from about 20 games in I was pumping this and I'm jacked he's gotten there. Unreal season.

Gotta love how Leafers think McD scoring well on the PP is supposed diminish his accomplishments and quality as a scorer. Like is he supposed to NOT score on them?

Feel free to ignore the Matthews comments. :naughty:
You don't have one without the other. I will continue to point out the weird fascination when I see it. Almost like a self conscious thing, seems odd and childish, hence the tone of HFBoards over the last bunch of years.

I think it has to do with us getting force fed Matthews BS by the media 24/7. He’s the headline all of the time so it makes sense he comes up in conversation a lot.

I don’t hate Matthews but he’s one of the most overrated players currently in the NHL.

Oh and he uses a purse.
