Doubt many Americans watch the Canadian heritage classic lolThe NHL is currently on fire and dying because the heritage classic is next week, and McDavid is hurt.
Another spectacular job from the NHL!
Still means we lose a chance to see McDavid on the big stage. Thats whats bothering me.Doubt many Americans watch the Canadian heritage classic lol
The big stage would be the winter classic not the heritage game imoStill means we lose a chance to see McDavid on the big stage. Thats whats bothering me.
Inflation has outpaced revenue growth since 2018.Why hasn’t the salary cap dropped yet from this dying league?
Inflation has outpaced revenue growth since 2018.
When every other sports league is seeing massive increases in revenue and the NHL is chugging along at ~0-1% real dollar growth it doesn't paint the image of a thriving league.
What big stage?Still means we lose a chance to see McDavid on the big stage. Thats whats bothering me.
Crosby, at least in Canada, was shoved down our throats to an amazingly obnoxious degree.I feel like I saw way more Crosby and Ovechkin in their prime than I see of McDavid. Maybe it’s different in Canada but I doubt many Americans know who McDavid is
Young Ovi was the best candidate of the three to be the face if his peak at or above Crosby’s level lasted longer bust Crosby also had the Canadian advantage
Ovi was super marketable though, very fun personality shown despite the language barrier in his early career
McDavid is the most talented but the league feels sorta faceless, I don’t really know how you market him as a person
Is the heritage classic that big in Canada or only to fans of those teams involved any given year? I’m not even sure if they televise it in the US lolWhat big stage?
In Canada, the Heritage Classic is revered as the single most important celebration of Canadian Heritage every year. Missing this event for any reason is the equivalent of spitting on the Canadian flag, which Connor McDavid is doing. Is the heritage classic that big in Canada or only to fans of those teams involved any given year? I’m not even sure if they televise it in the US lol
It’s just like a regular game for those outside the teams playing. It’s nothing specialIs the heritage classic that big in Canada or only to fans of those teams involved any given year? I’m not even sure if they televise it in the US lol
Basically like every other outdoor since the NHL decided to milk all fun from the idea. It’s just like a regular game for those outside the teams playing. It’s nothing special
Outside of McDavid their 1st overalls aren’t that scary!Everyone celebrating his injuries should beware. The monkey paw will curl and Edmonton will win the first overall
RNH just had 100 points.Outside of McDavid their 1st overalls aren’t that scary!
100 points is 100 points…A very heavily influenced 100 points
It's good for him and the team do not need to work on McDavid collecting useless regular season points which resulted in the team tired in play off. It's probably dead in the water for McDavid to reach 1000 points by the end of the season, but he's still winning the Art Ross if he plays ≈70 games
the big stage is to win the cup.The big stage would be the winter classic not the heritage game imo
He's basically 35. You gotta round up.Oh, so he’s 26 like I said. And it’s closer to 3 months
The last time McDavid was injured for 2 weeks, the Oilers played 6 games, went 3-2-1, and Draisaitl had 12 points in that span. This is where Draisatl needs to prove he is actually the 2nd best player in the world and not a product of McDavid.
