McDavid heating up, what are odds on 150 points this season?

Just to point out how incredible season he is having - pace of 9 points in 5 games is superb (and also unsustainable long term) for every player with exception of Connor. For Connor McDavid that pace would be underwhelming (his pace during this season is actually 9,24 points/5 games) ... Madness ...

Lots of simps here with PTSD of their teams getting trashed that needs to bring down Crosby to prop up McDavid. You're pathetic

As if these two and Ovechkin can't all be goats

I really hope he hits 150 that would be insane
That's almost as pathetic as some of the Pens fans that were talking about McDavid getting "stretchered" yesterday in a blowout. You'd think of all the fanbases they would be the least likely to call for someone to get laid out and injured given how much of Crosby's prime they lost.

It will still take a great end of the season to hit 150 but even over 140 would be amazing. I hope he can do 150 though, that would just be awesome to see a player do that.

Well actually by definition there can’t be more than one GOAT :)

It's been another two weeks, so here's an update on McDavid's probability of reaching each of these milestones (assuming he plays all 82 games):

Barring injury, McDavid is almost certain to become the first player in nearly three decades to score 130 points.

His probability of reaching 140 points is now higher than it's been at any other point during the season.

He probably won't reach 150 points, but the likelihood is still the highest it's been since early January.

Third straight game with two goals.

According to some around here, he shouldn’t have scored his first goal of the game short handed because it’s worth more at even strength.

112 points in 60 games, 10 in his last 3, 15 in his last 6, back up to a 153 point pace.

Naturally, the usual vocal minority who can’t be impressed are nowhere to be found.

Needs 18 points in the final 22 games to hit 130.
Needs 28 points in the final 22 games to hit 140.
Needs 38 points in the final 22 games to hit 150.

With a period in today’s game remaining, we’re strapped in for a hell of a ride in the final quarter of the season.

During his last three seasons McDavid has 340 points in 196 games. That's a 1.74 points per game pace.

If he maintains that same pace over the last 22 games of this season, he finishes with 150 points.
That also doesn't even take into account he generally finishes the year strong and his last 7/12 games are against the Ducks, Coyotes and Sharks.

McDavid has now tied Ovechkin for most goals amongst active players through end of February with 48.

Last players to hit 50 before end of February were Lemieux and Jagr in 1996.

Let’s get it done in the third period today. Only 1 game left this month and it’s against Boston.
