McDavid heating up, what are odds on 150 points this season?

Wild that a 150 point season this year and perhaps 135 next year would see him notch his 1000th career point early in his age 28 campaign, the 2024-2025 season.

Even more wild that there’s a faint chance of him doing it by the end of next season if he can put up another 150 point season if he scores 153 this year. Not expected, but he’s really made a lot of people rethink what is possible in today’s game (or should have at least).

Tbh McDavid pretty unlucky to only have 4 tonight.

Skated circles around Pens tonight. 10 bell chances every shift seemingly without breaking a sweat.

Who thinks he beats Kucherov's 128 by game 70? I think he would need to do that to set himself up for a 150 finish.

Would he play them all I think 1.88, 4.5% higher than his current 1.8 ppg pace.

He's just short of his run when he had 105 in 56 games in the Pandemic all Canadian division year. Super close though.

With 26 games left he's going to have to clip at 2 points a game to get there. Me thinks he will fall short but it's McDavid. If anyone can do it it's him. lol. If I was betting I would say no but it would be really cool to see.

Now he's got 109 in 59. That is a current pace of 1.85PPG. He needs 41 in 23, which is 1.78ppg.

He can relax a bit. :)

He always comes guns a blazing vs Crosby for some reason

Probably out to make a point how much better he is. Been that way since McDavid entered the league really. Crosby’s days of winning Art Rosses were over before he even hit 30 because of McDavid. Well, he also finished behind the likes of Benn, Tavares, and Kane before then too. And of course not winning the Art Ross in 15 out of the last 16 seasons.

he just wasn't the same after his injury back in 2011, without that injury I think he would've won more hardware and lead the league more.
