Shades of that penalty against Team USA in the Women's Olympic gold medal game.

Slashing a goalie on their leg pads is so dangerous, ya know. Ugh.

I have no problem with penalizing players for blatantly whacking away at the goalie long after the whistle but the IIHF is too hypersensitive. Lewis makes a reactionary attempt for a rebound that the goalie grabs almost simultaneously as the whistle goes. That should be a penalty. Not that it matters anyway since our PP has been dreadful. Can we please stop the drop pass from our own side of the ice that is so painfully telegraphed it does nothing?

1st power-play goal for Belarus at the WC!!!

Thank you, Mr. Eichel, for the hook.

USA #12 tipped it in trying to cut the pass. Did this team win us? Holy **** :D

Americans did everything to make Belarus weaker. NJD and NYI didn't allow Grabovsky and Hrabarenka to come over.

Nice one Krug. We got one back...

4:2 Belarus

people arent giving belarus enough credit. if they were wearing a different jersey people would be giving them the respect they deserve for this performance

There's no way this team should be taken lightly. It was clear they've been in pretty good form leading up to this game and they've carried that forward after surviving the first ten minutes.

It's embarrassing how this team let the game get away from them over five minutes in the second but at least USA is showing good fight.

I don't know but I sure wouldn't bet against the US coming back.

and Jack Eichel...such a cerebral player. and he's only 18.
