Nah, as a Blue Jackets fan I'm happy they drafted Oliver Bjorkstrand. Will be cheering for him and Denmark in upcoming games. Belarus doesn't have such talented youngsters.
I'm right there with you "Bro". Looking forward to seeing what Bjork can do in this tournament after his dominating year in Portland. Go Jackets!
Just wait, the savior Maxim Sushko is on his way. Maybe not the absolutely best 99' you have, but this one at least is not playing for Russian U teams.
Thanks for the information, I've never heard of him.
Russian U teams just killing development of our youngsters. We had that defenseman who chose to play for Russia. He never played for their national team, then wanted to get Belarusian citizenship back, but they told him to rot in Russia. What is his name? He was drafted in the middle 2000's and IIRC was 2nd best Russian defenseman in his draft year.
Drozd and Koltsov also were pushing by Russians to play for them, but they chose Belarus and had a few WC under their belts already.
well, that was a very close shot, sir!I Think Belarus takes this one4-1

Oh, the the endless fun....![]()
Told you before....This is not funny. Its just extremely depressing:-(
I can't survive in the b-group. I need a real world championship every year to bring me out of the winter depression.
Thanks for the information, I've never heard of him. He has 30 points in 20 games playing against men as a 16 years old, not bad.

Imho, Kovyrshin has been put to a wrong defensive use in him KHL team. He's capable of scoring far more than that.Kavyrshin scores his 2nd goal of the night and he had just 4 goals in 50 games in the KHL last season. I've seen everything now.
Feeling that pain too. Russia lured Slava Trukhno to play in the U18 World Champs after he had received funding from Team Denmark. Needless to say, he has not been anywhere close to the Russian National Team ever since...
Lauridsen With a GM, this game just, ugh.
I Can see it now, Denmark are relegated, and next year they ice the best team ever, who gets to shine in div 1![]()
Not that impressive, Belarus2 is essentially a U20 league, but numbers unseen of since like forever.
There are plenty of such cases. Oleg Misyul commited to Belarus very late and is still a decent project in long term. Looks like Vladislav Kodola will finally commit too, and hopefully the elite WJC will be enough of a carrot to lure the youngest Karnaukhov back. But still there's a handful of good players that looks gone for good, like Kirill Petkov, Roman Krikunenko and there was a goalie whose name escapes me.
I hope one day we can get Galchenyuk back as well, even though he chose US instead of Russia. He visits Belarus pretty often cause his grandparents still live there. His father recently stated that Alex doesn't play for Belarus because no one asked him to. We used to have a lot of idiots running the hockey federation.
And I found that traitor who chose Russia and wanted to come back: Denis Grot, 2nd round pick in 2002. http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=19740

Unfortunately, that is impossible unless Dinamo Minsk signs him.
That evil Russia. How they dare skate a man who was born in beautiful Denmark city Voskresensk. ********.![]()
Russia is not at fault.....The player is a fraud however for taking money from team Denmark and then playing for Russia.
Sue him.

Trukhno was free to choose to play for Russia. But, the purpose of the funding from Team Denmark was obviously that he was going to play for Denmark. There should have been a clause that said he had to pay the money back if he chose to play for another country.
