I LOOOOVE ZNAROK right now!
He has got my respect in no time compared with bilya****dinov.

Go Go Russia! Keep beating the other teams!

Too bad after 2 more years players will not respect him anymore. That happened to Bykov and Bilyaletdinov and probably happens to Znarok as well.

Regardless, does anyone else feel sorry for Backstrom who have to play with Ovechkin in Caps? Cause our expertcommentator on tv several times brought this up, that Ovechkin can shoot, but nothing else, and he felt so sorry for other players who has to play with him. What is Caps-fans view on this, and russians? I'm genuinely curious.

I really really liked Bykov and I still like him now and thought he should have been taken back after Bilyaletdinov for this tournament. I know a lot of people don´t share this opinion but..

I never thought good of bilyaletdinov even when we won in 2012 since he had an overpowered superstar team and even I could coach that team to gold. Everything other than that gold was pure fail, performances at the same level as russia had during the 90's and early 00's with losses in all Euro Hockey Tour tournaments, quarter final losses in WC and Olympic fail.
He did nothing good for Russian hockey.

Bykov at least started the whole winning culture and was the man who got NHL-players to come to the WC and that tradition is very strong today, I believe that he was the man behind this success.

LOL. Typical Znarok. :) He said like several times, he doesn't want to give interviews or even talk to someone after the game. He gets to emotional. Oh well.. We all saw why. :D

Btw, at presser Oly said that he was showing that it is cold in the arena, and his throat cuts, so he cant' scream, and was suggesting to other coach, to go and talk after the game. :D

You are talking that Russians are not classy in this game. But really how calssy was sweden player during that moment with plotnikov? Plotnikov has got a painfull hit from the puck. Woke up with a pain and shot the puck. What was a reason for that hit from Sweden player? Classy. I would also say stay classy Sweden.
Oh, don't take it too seriously, most swedes are obsessed with the word "class", it seems like only they know how to behave properly. I advise you to search this years wjc rus-swe thread, every single post was like "classless ruskies", "stay classy", "sore losers" etc..ridonkulous..

And you buy this?? (++)

No not every swede is, there's plenty who doesn't, but you must admit a lot seems to be anti-russian.

Well revenge, you're right, Swedes easily get caught in those words like "class" and pretend to be flawless shining knights. A little bit more easyminded attitude and not taking everyhing to literary would be good. However I still think Znarok went over the line. There has be lines you can't cross. We expect players to behave and then a coach does something like that? Just make a case of him, so we see where the line is drawn. Punish him hard, just like the Rangers guy got punished hard for going at the ref.

PS. Again this shows our anti-russian feelings btw, as we love to say how classless russians are, but what I've seen my whole life is Canada as the big brutes in international hockey, getting away violence and cheapshots. What do we say then? "they play a physical game"

Funny how you decided to ignore the rest of the gifs. Convenient.

It's the only one that's relevant, really. It was unnecessary and we would be talking about hockey right now if not for that classless move in a game that was already lost for Sweden. What happened is the very definition of instigating. You let your emotions out, trying to send a message to the other team despite the loss.

Of course, I know Znarok is pretty weak man, so he probably got cold. :(

That other sign was probably asking other coach to go drink hot tea, after the game, he was showing how he dips tea bag in the cup.

Eh what? Don't you read the newspaper etc when we play against Canada? the swedish experts don't want the swedish hockey team play against Canada in pre-matches before a tournament because they play dirty hockey and allways injury our players i have never read such a thing about the russians in our newspaper here...

And overall ther is not the same hate against Russia as it is to Canada when we play ice hockey;) or have the Russian embassy suffer an attack after a won game against Sweden like the Canadian embassy did:D

We have class and we are shining knights.

I don't need to say anything about Russia.

You don't seem to read the same papers, and you especially don't read all the comments people make.

I never thought the day would come when I was cheering for Finland to win gold :O

Yea, right. Why would you take Znarok's gesture literally then? For the record, I don't approve of Znarok's behaviour, but this double standard policy is quite annoying.

I don't need to say anything about Russia.

Obviously Sweden has too much class and players such as Backlund are simply trying to restore some balance in the hockey world in an attempt to lower Sweden's class to that of other countries.

As for Swedish fans shouting "stay classy Russia" when Backlund gets a 5+20 with 11 seconds left in a 1-3 game, they are probably trying to outclass their Canadian counterparts in the "we're the best so whatever happened we won" department. Except that the only thing they brag about is being the second best. Second best for beating Finland, as always.

And what dose your **** team take for place:sarcasm:? your swedish hate is really funny but annyoing

Congrats to Russia. As a Canadian- it was nice embarrassing them in 2010 in Vancouver. However, after seeing them humiliated again in Sochi, i kind of felt bad for them, so i hope they can at least win gold now in this tournament. I also live in an area of Toronto with a large Russian population, and had Russian friends all my life, so at least they will be a little bit happy now (LOL). Anyways- wish Sweden the best in the Bronze Medal Game.

Everyone dives, but Russians are the ones with no scruples. They don't even try to make it look real, their dives are so blatant.
