About the diving part, we'll be seeing alot of that from Russia. Just look at their WJC, they dove all over the Place there aswell.

Think it was clear that the Skellefteå players stood out in the tougher games also actually impressed by Axelsson. The guy got size grit and skill, when he wants (that’s the problem).
As I suspected players like clasen and fransson that slows the game down are skilled and thrive against lesser competition shouldn’t play against top teems.
This teem did more than we could expect from them, Though I would have picked two or even three moore Skellefteå players.

To me, it just seems like the exact same thing. If one gets a fine, the other should too imo. Just seems a bit blown out of proportion here, they are passionate and that kinda stuff is said in the heat of the moment a lot of times, but often its not caught on camera.

It's easier to just throw Backlund out, than deal with the ****storm that could have developed after he gets released from the box when the game ends. We've seen this (sending players early to the room to avoid conflicts) happen many times in the NHL.
Blatant dive when you look at it afterwards, but the other Russian players had their own opinion about the hit and were out to get Backlund.

If they should lose, he would let it out on players. I hear he's only good at cursing and screaming. And Russian players fear him. When he played for Latvia in the end of 90's, he was in the group conspiring against coach Vasiļjevs (Latvian team coach). He just couldn't handle a Latvian coaching him. Kind of a chauvinist if you ask me. Maybe he can control the Russian players and make a team out of them, but his mentality is that of deep Russian province.

You are talking that Russians are not classy in this game. But really how calssy was sweden player during that moment with plotnikov? Plotnikov has got a painfull hit from the puck. Woke up with a pain and shot the puck. What was a reason for that hit from Sweden player? Classy. I would also say stay classy Sweden.
