How the hell can you hand out 5+game for that small push?
That's ridiculous. Yes, it was a very stupid move, "classless" so to speak. There was zero reason for it. This is not something you do during play, much less when it's pretty much over. Then again, that's not something you can hand out more than 2 minutes for.
Nothing wrong with Plotnikov falling down, but the way he suddenly acted like he was badly injured was unsportsmanlike as well. He's down on the ice, he has no problem looking at the other players, looks perfectly fine, and then *bam* he's suddenly half dead. That was really bad acting. Completely unnecessary, the deed spoke for itself, no need to embellish at that point.
It all started by one player acting stupid, but what followed was pretty pathetic from everyone involved as well.
Russia deserves the win. Will be interesting to see how they will play in the final. They clearly have the best roster this year, but both possible opponents aren't exactly their favorite opponent. You don't want to end up being the favorite and lose against the Czechs like in 2010.
