It would be something like Guhle. i.e. It would hurt.
Well , that's not happening from any team in my opinion.
Comtois has 2 goals in 31 games this year, even shooting at 15% he'd have 6... you'd also give up 4 years of team control.
If Guhle reaches his mid range potential as a physical number 4 D, you're looking at a very lopsided in Anaheim's favor.

Asking again . What off of the Devils could work ?
Zacha + or Ty Smith + or D prospect or ?
Why the Devils should pay extra if they trade Zacha for Comtois? Comtois is a little bit younger than Zacha, but Zacha is more proven than Comtois. Comtois is a wild card here, because he has had only one good season so far.

Caufield For Comtois is something to really think about, But it's a hard sell to all habs Fan's because they love Caufield alot. I like Caufield also but I would really think hard about a trade like this.

So you want the value of the Ducks selling low on Comtois while you want the full value of what Guhle can become.

Do you see why that's unreasonable?

All other stuff aside, Ducks would be foolish to sell low on Comtois.

I don't see it as selling low. Just average Comtois total game and pts from last year and this season, you have a 35 pts player at 23yo. I think it's a fair assessment right now, much better then saying he's a 60pts guy based on last year or a 15pts guy based on this season.

I mentioned I saw him as a 45-50pts 2nd line winger while I see Poehling as a 30-35pts 2way center. Like I said I like Poehling a lot and I also added a good defense prospect.

Not sure what youre talking about in terms of full value for Guhle? Do you mean peak potential? I dont think is peak potential is #4 defenseman, I think it's the reasonable outcome, just like Comtois is likely going to end up a 45-50 pts winger. How is that unreasonable !?

Guhle? No way. This guy have top pairing potential.

You can keep Comtois if you want Caufield or Guhle... Habs never going to trade young players like that for Comtois.

That's...not at all what you said. Did you forget? This is your literal direct quote

You evaluated Comtois as if this were his only season and said he wouldn't even be worth a mid-range Guhle.

My point is only it's hypocritical to trade for one guys bottom results and ignore potential while suggesting the guy with no NHL games is a sure thing so he's automatically worth more.

If that's not what you were saying...then say it better.

I didn't, sorry that's what you understood. I actually did the complete opposite, not ignoring potential, last season, this season, etc. Just that it was in a few different posts.

Read better

You ask me to say it better, yet come up with syatment like this : "So you want the value of the Ducks selling low on Comtois while you want the full value of what Guhle can become"

Hab fans are the worst, I just ignore them in trade boards

Picked up an assist last night and looked like his last season self. Ducks should not be giving up on this guy but if they do trade him will be for the right price, dude still has so much potential.

Hab fans are the worst, I just ignore them in trade boards

Habs fan: Would you trade your struggling young player for our struggling young player?

Ducks fan: No, you would have to give us your best prospect

Habs fan: But our best prospect might end up being really good

Ducks fan: How dare you judge a prospect on his potential

Other ducks fan: Yeah, Habs fans are the worst

So, if we aren't allowed to judge prospects based on potential I guess we'll set our sights on 3 points in 9 games Mason McTavish. Rem Pitlick is a little over 0.5 PPG this year, so if you guys throw in a pick that would be a solid trade.
