I think he looks a lot stronger this year and I’m not worried about it. In five years imagine how strong he will be? He works the boards as good as anyone. And his ability to put the puck on the open man’s stick makes me very happy. He also pretty much always gets back when he turns it over. I’d love to see how his speed compares to the rest of the league.It's tough because normally you applaud players who play like Poitras, who win races against bigger players and put themselves in harms way to win pucks and make plays.
Marchand needs to take him under his wing and teach him how to slip under and either evade or absorb those big shots because you don't want him Poitras to suddenly become Ryan Spooner. And hockey is physical, he has to learn how to handle that contact.
