Matt Murray

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. Need the player to agree though. Depends on if he wants to keep playing beyond his current contract + his actual health of course

Well, his contract is back loaded so the money he would be walking away from in a buyout is pretty significant. In real money he is owed $8 million next year. So I guess it would be a question of does he take the $4 million in buyout and is he going to grind out $4 million in earnings with his health somewhere else? Or take the money and the year off. And come back in 2024-25.

Let a new GM sort the goaltending out. This charade of goaltending we've had in the last few seasons is some of the most embarrassing displays of GM'ing ever witnessed.

Remember the narrative we heard that his injury issues was because his last put team‘s medical department didn’t handle him properly………that story didn’t age well

I wish the Leafs weren't party to the Matt Murray Ottawa tit for tat. Shouldn't be our business.

I was just able to grab him in my fantasy league so hopefully he can stay healthy and have a bounce back season. He's been on someone's IR up until this past Thursday. Worth a shot for me as my other two goalies (Kuemper & Binnington) have been fairly terrible for me this year. So it's all aboard the Murray train for me!lol hope he can be our #1, as I hoped before the season started as well. Samsonov has been a nice surprise though prior to his injury.

Another great game for Matt Murray. The trade that many of us didnt like is starting to look a lot better. He’s been sound positionally and he’s tracking the puck really well.

Starting to look like a sound acquisition.

I just hope he's healthy and in form for game 1, he looked so calm in the last 5 minutes in net. The team around him seemed a bit shook but he held the fort down in-spite of the hottest team in the league applying major pressure in front of a loud crowd

Wow. If he's healthy in the playoffs we took a step forward.

It would be nice if this works out. Are we going to be able to keep Sam?

He's playing well, no doubt.
Let's see if he can stay healthy, that was always going to be the issue.
Agreed for me you and many other posters but there were lots of, he's done, post going around

He will be rfa next year, so yes

If he does well and increases his value I'd either look to either keep him longer term (after Murray's current contract expires) or trade him for picks and get another good/decent backup
