Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. Honestly, I don’t have faith in Murray as a backup goalie.
The fact that we are paying him starter money leads me to believe that Hayley wickenheiser will be taking over as gm soon.

This looks like about 60% it fails, 30 it’s a lateral move and 10% it’s a 4D chess move.
I’m not liking him being the guy though, they need to get someone else.

I don't believe in him based off the last few years but I won't chase him out of town before he plays a game....
That being said, I didn't like the Mrazek trade but accepted the cost to get out of a bad contract. To see us get only a 3rd (next year) back to take on a WORSE contract just seems dumb.
Plz prove me wrong and return to rookie form Matt, signed every Leaf fan ever.

When dubas was the gm for the soo, he traded a bunch of assets for jack campbell with the expectation that the team would improve due to better goaltending. They improved a bit. Dubas then fired the coach and hired Sheldon Keefe. The goaltender who would take over after jack campbell left for the ahl? Matt Murray.

I think he could have a decent year, if healthy but I don't think it is probable so I guess that means I don't believe in him. The commitment to a goalie who has been this poor and at that AAV is puzzling.
This is a deal you make if there is some objective evidence the guy is actually pretty good so even though I don't really see it myself I don't think KD risks his career on the player Murray appears to me. There has to be more to Murray than his last couple of season. Not a believer but hoping to be proven wrong and praying for a miracle backup

I do believe in him, at least as much as I would a guy like Campbell.
Murray has at least proven he can step up in big moments. Campbell has more or less struggled to match the defense in front of him.
Deal aside, where I will hold out hope that it is not the full thing at least until we learn more, I do feel like Murray is one of the more attractive candidates out there. I just hoped we would save enough money to get Samsonov as well.

This. Get Murray as a tandem guy at $3.125m? that makes sense.
Force Ottawa to buy him out, and he'd like sign in Toronto for $2x2. The guy already rejected a move to Buffalo (which was apparently "harsher" than this). Not that many teams who have close to $5m to spend a goalie all to get a 3rd round pick.
Take on a loser mentality, of accumulating draft picks rather than maximizing every single cap dollar you spend, completely idiotic. Get a real NHL player like Formenton that can be underpaid to offset, I get that... but what the heck is a 3rd round pick gonna do?
