Sucks... he has a history of concussions it looks like, but that was a fluke play.
Feel bad for the guy.

So he'll be ready for game 1 and lead us to victory and a Conn SmytheDreger says on TSN right now that Matt Murray isn’t coming back anytime soon.
He’s only 28, he’ll likely want to keep playing.Love Matt Murray, unfortunately sounding like Robidas Island is his next destination though. He’s done well for himself, it’s probably for the best since he has a young family.

More likely thisDreger says on TSN right now that Matt Murray isn’t coming back anytimesoon.

No LTIR allowed last 10 games of a season I'm toldPossible, but if it was clear that was the case they would have just put him on LTIR so they could call up Woll without needing an emergency cap exemption and also call up Zahorna so they don't have play a man short tonight.
Not on LTIR until they see how Woll does.
Frank;y with his performance (he has been really struggling but he did have a strong start) and his injuries I honestly don't think another team will take a chance on him. But he does have 1yr remaining and if he is able to play next year he might be able to turn things around so another team offers him a prove me you can still play contractHe’s only 28, he’ll likely want to keep playing.
Agree with what you said, however you can’t just terminate a contract.Frank;y with his performance (he has been really struggling but he did have a strong start) and his injuries I honestly don't think another team will take a chance on him. Frankly this year has been so disastrous that if Toronto were to terminate his contract it might actually end his career in the NHL.
Magic Man indeed, I like this logic a lotIt looks like Murray has one more year at 8M in salary on his current contract. I think they can convince him to go on LTIR permanently. Either he sits because they can't trade him at full pop or they buy him out and he loses the majority of that 8M. Which he won't be able to make up with a league minimum contract elsewhere.
I mean buyout,Agree with what you said, however you can’t just terminate a contract.
