He is better than his points indicate.

Massively.

Currently the 3rd best forward on the team IMO. And if we only take the part of the season where he was on the Rangers into account, one could make the argument that he has been better than Nash as well.

Stepan is still the #1 forward (and skater) on the team this year.

That poll!

But yeah, who wouldn't want the guy back next season? It's obvious he makes our team better. He's not as weak along the boards as you would imagine, his skating is above average now and that vision and hands, top class. He's also tenacious, shows alot of heart and doesn't back down in scrums. He's a great complimentary player who can actually make his teammates better. That's a rare quality.

Alot of times he's directly involved in goals, even though he doesn't get any point. And if his teammates would've been better at burying their chances, he would easily have double the assists. Simply an enjoyable player to watch, who has worked hard to become better in the areas he lacked.

"Zuc and I have done some great things. I love playing with him because of his hockey sense and the plays that he makes. He reminds me a little of Marty St. Louis with how he can get into the zone and open up ice. He's brought a lot to us

I bet Richards love playing with Zucc. It was after being paired up on the same line as Zucc that Richards started to produce points again.

I said it in yesterdays GDT and I will say it here. I give Zucc the credit for Nash first goal, even though he wasn't directly involved and recorded an assist. Nash had been in a slump of three games without a point. He's paired up with Zucc and started producing again. Just as Richards did.

Our two top lines did look damn good last night. There's a lot of scoring on those lines. I wonder if Torts will roll them into the playoffs to?

Looking at Tortorella postgame interview Saturday. Did i hear wrong or is the Norwegian female from TV2 back? If it is, i guess its bad news for Zucc. :)

She's been back. And Torts still gives her (light-hearted) crap every time she asks a question about Zucc.

Also heard that, but thought it was a different female reporter. Don't think its that Elin something that were all over the place the last two years.

I just find it awkward that they ask about him every game just because he is who he is.

Coverage of the NHL in Norway is pretty bad in the news, non existant when no Norwegians are in the league, and only focused on that single player when there is one in the league.

I actually hope they have the good sense to stop making people back at home cringe over this soon

Best mid-season move this year.

Really glad he's working out despite people saying he wasn't even an NHL caliber player.

Eh, it's her job to ask questions about Zuccarello, and not about the rangers. People offended by that are easily offended.

He might leave if Torterella will be here next season. I still don't think Torts likes Zuk as he likes Boyler.

In several years he has never played Boyle in the top six as much as Zucc has in the last 3 weeks.

Part of gaining a higher profile because of performance are the inevitable comparisons that will be made.

MSL? That's a biggen. Especially when it comes from Brad Richards.

No presssure Zuuc.

And additionally, MSL didn't have his first season above 40 points until he was 27 years old. I'd rather not be the Calgary Flames on this deal. Bring him back.

Its not so much the questions, but the frequency.

I don't mind that they ask an opinion when he's obviously played a great game, been injured or torts lost his **** and tried to strangle him with his tie, but when the questions come after every single game, then that is just over-reporting

He's getting prime top6 time and is making big compliments to a line that has two big NHL names in Richards and Nash in it.

And reading from interviews he looks to Richards as a role-model.

It was completely understandable since the AHL on a two-way wasn't really what he wanted, but this time around it just feels different and I'm 100% sure that he will stay if the Rangers want to re-sign him.

Wow that is a great point! I'm glad you brought that up.

It's gonna take a really sh***y 2 way deal contract offer for him to not sign a new contract.

This is the league he wants to play in, on the team he wants to play for..
