If you watched Florida's feed you would have heard their announcers raving about MZA often tonight. They called him the Rangers best player tonight multiple times. They said he was everywhere. They said him being everywhere was starting to get annoying.

I find that sad that he's our best player on any given night.

At the end of tonight's game when it was still 2-1 the puck gets to Zucc with an open lane to shoot with a wide open Nash infront of the net, he passes to Richards in the high slot, the pass goes through Richards. He had the shot, if Torterella caught that he must be fuming, that was the opportunity, after that the Cats scored the empty netter.

The guy is a good player but not THAT good. He's overused here cause of the lack of depth. On a good team he would never see 20+ mins a game.

Well it's a poll, and of course you have the right to vote no.

You seem to be a huge NYR fan, and you have an impressive number of posts, but why you think the Rangers are better off without Zucc is beyond me...

Well he thinks he is a poor excuse for an offensive player heh. I think that says it all. He's not the best at reading players. Or he just hates Zucc.

I respect all opinions, but when someone cant back it up, well it kinda kills any credibility he has.

They are better off w/o the man in charge, in the pressbox and on the bench. I'm not a fan of the guys running this show and every bit of **** they try to sell to me after 13 years I'm gonna have a strong opinion on. Zucc is the cheap type of **** this team is reduced to year in year out, I don't see how much has changed, the only constant is the guy in net saving the season every season.

Ok, but that was not the question. Fine you hate Torts and you hate Slats. So you are taking it out on Zucc? That makes NO SENSE.

Dont take you hate on those two for a player who is busting is balls out there. Thats prob why your the only one voting NO.

He does bust his balls, I give him that. I always liked him, but he;s not good enough to play on my team for 20 minutes a night, he does not give you enough of either side of the game. What else do you need, a bottle feeding?

Who is giving him 1st line minutes, 20 minutes a night?

He's been getting about 16 minutes a game and playing just fine as a secondary scorer. Nobody is saying he should be playing 22 minutes a game and leading the team in points.

blame management for failing to address the need for a top 6 winger.

Ryane Clowe and Ryan Callahan lol.

Zuccs is the least of the problems with the Rangers. He should be playing a much more sheltered role on the bottom 6.

Um yes, one of the best players over the last 10 games SHOULD be playing the most minutes. If you agree with that or not, it doesnt matter. But Im sure you hated it when he got an assist for starting the whole play on the only goal we scored tonight.

He played 20 minutes or more in 2 games out of 13.

He played 12 minutes in 2 games out of 13 as well.

He has averaged 15-16 minutes.

He has been voted by fans player of the game in 3 of his 13 games. Not bad for a guy often playing 3rd line minutes.

Again, I don't think he's worthless, just not worth the time.

He's the same redundant asset year after year this team trumps out. That's why I would rather sign a player, or bring one from within who has better shot at some kind of consistent offensive game. Somehow I don't think Zucc is what this team needs, nor will miss much after this season.

You are entitled to your opinion and you could be right. On the other hand I do not know many guys that are consistent .5ppg players averaging 14 minutes a game that are also assets in the shoot out that can be signed for around 1 million dollars.
 
Needs to be resigned. A very dangerous offensive player who has the ability to create. Not something that can be found easily.
He's not redundant at all I don't know how you can even say that. What players have we had like him recently that we consistently let go?
You can't just go out and sign players that have a more consistent offensive game easily or nearly as cheaply.
You can replace pretty much every random redundant 4th liners/PK guys really easily though.
 
This years Zucc would have been so perfect for last years team.

Yeah Zucc played 21 minutes tonight, only Cally played a few seconds more. That means Torts really trusts him now. Zucc was also the architect behind the 1-1 goal, he's involved in just about everything when on the ice.

But then Richards took a stupid penalty, which ruined our day..
 
Bluenote- It's kind of hard to follow what you mean.

For example, I think most are fine with Stralman as our 3rd pairing RD. Right? But let's say Dan Girardi is injured, out 12 month, and Stralman becomes our 1st pairing D -- should we instantly cut him then?

Sure, it doesn't look good on a team, but the argument that a player should be cut because he is better than the other players is just hard to understand.

Zucc is what he is. I would like to see him in a perfect environment for him, something we don't have. He is a midget 1-way offensive player who always are forced to cover for other more flawed players. I think he would blow many away in a situation like that.

But that's life. And Zucc isnt individually capable of dominating a NHL game.

In the end, when I see the product Torts put on the ice, I certainly have an extremely hard time seinfeld why Zucc shouldn't play. Atleast he can pass the puck, and when everything is said and done the passes made by this team were often made by him.
