Notice; he wasn't able to break the roster last season, even after we dealt away Wolski and Christensen.

Didn't he break his wrist playing for the top team in the conference late in the season last year?

"It's tough anytime you lose a guy like that who has so much skill," Rangers captain Ryan Callahan said. "He brought another element to our power play, which was needed. "

The idea of different roles is dumb, you want everyone to play the role of puck possesion. Boyle is a 4th liner and on real contending teams he shouldn't be on the roster

Have you ever checked out zuccarello's point per minute?

"Anti-Zuke Antagonists" Ouch, sounds like a war crime. Maybe it is in this thread or in Norway.

I would give Zuccarello credit if he ever scored a hat trick in a Rangers uniform. My issue is the smart money is on the bet that he never will.

Is a hat trick the only way for you to credit Zooks? He has had 2 goal games. He also has had 3 points in a game in a Rangers uniform.

Parros still had that crazy mustache when I played against him in Princeton. Guess if you have a trademark...

Not his freshman year, he had such a baby face. I know, I was working for Princeton and that program. I watched you play in '02 or '03 can't remember if you were a Freshman or Sophomore.

YOU be the GM: Resign Zucc?

As stated in my last thread, im going to start a couple of these and see how they go, if they go bad I will stop, if they go good, and have a lot of discussion, i may continue ;)

ZUCCERELLO? Do we resign him? Has he been good enough for you? HAs he proved himself?

YOU ARE THE GM: Are you giving him a contact? RIGHT NOW[?

MY Verdic
t: You would be crazy not to. Guy has been lights out, giving it 110% every game. Doesnt back down, producing points (and should have a lot more if his mates could finish). Hes been one our most consist players since coming here. He's also improved his skating 10 fold since returning to the NHL. NO BRAINER: RESIGN HIM ASAP.

why the hell not.... ive never been an advocate of his game but hes improved defensively and has been throwing the body around lately, absolutely loved the play he made on the dump in tonight, stole the puck got a good shot off and hit the post

You would be CRAZY not to. Anyone voting NO, i would not respect when it comes to players analysis. But nobody has :)

Thank you Mod, whoever merged it, was kinda hoping someone would :)

I got you, son.

As for bringing back Zucchini, yes please. One of my favorite little (hah) intangibles about him is that he doesn't take **** from anyone. I love it.

He deserves a contract, banged one off the post tonight, wish he let the shot go there at the end, but not even close to the reason why they lost.

Only reason they wouldn't resign him would be cap issues I guess. At least considering how good he's been since he came back.

One thing not spoken about much is Richards and Pyatt are now looking better since they have played with him.

Heh BLUENOTE....only one to vote NO...and he didnt respond why. Thankfully he is not our GM folks

Passion and guts rank high on my scale. Can't be just that, though.
Zuccarello is a smart guy and he carries himself well..

Hey, did I say that he has passion and guts, and smarts?

The people who still wonder about Zuccarello are probably the people who thought that this summer the Rangers would go out and get Getzlaf and Perry. "Whadda we want with this little guy, so much wrong with him. Let me tell ya all his faults...."

itd be terrible asset management to let him walk, he wants to be here so hes not going to kill us cap wise, hes going to want a one way deal but if it doesnt work out we waive him he gets picked up and thats that, if anything we can deal him at next years deadline if it comes to it.

i think hes got himself into torts good graces because hes used the body well, played the boards really well, and isnt a defensive reliability like he used to be.

i really wish we could clone him, hes got so much creativity but other guys arent always on the same page, imagine zucc passing to zucc, haha

No you guys are right, he's a hall of famer.

Quite a bit of room between hall of famer and a guy that can be probably be resigned for 1 year at 1 million dollars. Does he have to be a hall of famer to be resigned?

If you watched Florida's feed you would have heard their announcers raving about MZA often tonight. They called him the Rangers best player tonight multiple times. They said he was everywhere. They said him being everywhere was starting to get annoying.

Pitty?

I'm the only no right now. Give it time.

You will not be the only no. There are probably at least 2 more sure no votes that are probably coming along as well. I'm fine with your opinion. I just wish you had said you were unsure no and given him a chance in the remaining games and playoffs to earn that contract.
