It can happen if he continue his slow pace of not being that power forward we saw in the playoffs, and use his skillset too seldom - 4.6 mil $ Chris need to produce for such a cap hit.
But about Zucc - I hope he continue his pts streak from last game. I`m positive about that - he sometimes shines vs Nashville.

Love Zucc, but he hasn't been the same Zucc so far this year.

He is usually the most heavily used forward on the team, for good or bad (AV's decision). So when things are not going well, chances of him being on the ice is above average.
That said, it sucks. I know a lot of people dont place much into the plus/minus stat, but its obvious that he is struggling (as is the entire team in general).

Zooks has to give more effort. It is his effort that got him in to the NHL. He has to give 100% to be the Zook we have always seen. There are a few games where I have seen him thinking too much and not skating enough.
In regards to plus minus you can throwaway a lot of the minuses. We have been losing games and pulling the goalie. My guess is around half his "minuses" came on empty net goals for the other team.
How many ENG against has he been on the ice for though?
That will skew the numbers a bit.
He has been very quiet since the 2nd game of the season though.
Zucc played well with both Brassard and Stepan. He needs a center with hockey IQ to play with. Zibanejad is not that kind of a player. Let`s see if he can perform with DD. If not, and the Rangers does not trade for a new center, they may as well trade Zucc.
I agree, @Livingstone Kreider - Zib - Zucc had some good shifts in last year playoffs, but too inconsistent. And as long Miller will be used as a wing - we lack center depth this year. Yes, there are many on this team who might not be here next year if they continue to under perform this season and struggle to figure out chemistry.

Just my opinion and other Rangers fans might feel differently, but as far as I'm concerned, Zucc is only available for massive overpayment. IMHO, he is "The straw that stirs the drink" on this team and he's the only guy on the team I can say that about.

The pass on Kreider's goal was classic Zooks. I also liked seeing him more engaged on the wall. That has been a huge staple of his game in the past. His effort was a bit better last night but he still has to raise it up another notch (as do many other Ranger players). Sometimes when guys are not confident they end up thinking too much and not skating enough. Zooks has been a slow starter in the past but I know he has more effort in him.
Letang is worse in +/- but we all know he is a garbage player on a shitty team,

I could not see the Rangers bench but in my games stuff like this would make us go nuts on our bench. I would not be surprised if it did the same for the Rangers players and coaches.
I liked when they showed the penalty boxes. It looked like Hedman was smiling while asking Zooks if he wants to go when they got out. I think these guys may have been friends from a previous tournament but I'm not sure.

They played together in Modo, so yes they are old pals.
Btw, Zucc and Hank are on a norwegian/swedish talkshow tonight called "Skavlan". There is a teaser clip out from the show, where Zucc teases Hank when saying "I am the only one that can score on Hank whenever I want"....
Looks like they´re squaring off with table hockey too
