This could be a top 10 greatest playoff performance from a single player of all time. Natural hat tricks in a cup final are very very rare.

Rate stats have as much value as Marner had with the Leafs during the playoffs
Lol Vegas is absolutely stacked from top to bottom.... Bettman is getting his way but as a long time fan now seeing how low tax states are winning every year with an incredible advantage... im losing interest. There has only been one season since 2017 where a low tax state wasn't in the finals. Eichel signed for 13.5 million, one month after Kaprizov signed for 17 million. 3.5 million to upgrade a different area of your team is huge.

Marchand even admitted it and said that the advantage meant Panthers kept two additional players that otherwise they wouldn't have.

You can’t compare the players he was surrounded with in Toronto compared to the leadership group in Vegas. Those leaf core players made it easy to give half efforts. There was no accountability. They all folded when the games mattered. Eichel and Stone etc would never allow that.
I’m not gonna claim leadership doesn’t matter or something silly like that. But if Marner really was the softest player in the league and only about the money like people were claiming this wouldn’t be happening regardless of who was in the room.

Crazy how the leafs are at the bottom of the league and yet all anyone can talk about is Toronto during the Stanley cup finals

I am envious that they have the most popular team in the league by far and it’s not even close.
Aren't you the guy that pretends to be a Habs fan full time here? Lmfao pipe down crodie.

You wrong. Matthews suck. Toronto bad. Marner greatest of all-time now.

He had 13 goals in 9 playoff seasons in Toronto. Why is there so much dunking on Toronto? It's dumb. He was never doing that stuff here. You can't lose something you never had. Leafs would have missed the playoffs with him too. The issues in Toronto run much much deeper.

Lol

These teams are run by competent people, simple as that. Taxes were not invented in 2017. Before that, California teams had a pretty good run too.

Instead of focusing on taxes, focus on the fact that these teams have nice weather. Funny coincidence that too ain't it?

Actually, he was playing on the blueline in Toronto. I said it was killing his line. He even repeately said his favorite spot is the blueline because he can get pucks to sticks down low and all the players are under him. I actually said we should hire Torts, because hes one coach who wouldnt put up with Marners blueline play is Torts. Cassidy admitted during an interview that he was allowing Marner to play high in the zone. He said he hoped Vegas players would adapt to him playing there because it was causing some confusion.

Marner playoffs in Toronto vs playoffs with Vegas, 18 mins difference in TOI. notice a difference?
