Rumor: Marner blocked a trade to Carolina for Rantanen

Dood, its Marners right... its also the fans right to shit on him for his choices as he pretends to love Toronto.

Its the leafs choices if they want to resign him when he bombs in the playoffs again and 100% he will complain in the media about wanting to stay but the leafs dont want him....

and yes, its the Player that dictates his wishes to the agent... the agent doesn't just make up shit and go into business for himself or he would be fired.

Sure its the fans right I suppose. I just don't remember the threads calling for Shany's head or anyone saying that maybe just maybe Dubas was right after all.....

The team was build wrong FROM THE START but hey lets blame the kid and bleeds blue and white. Just cause he wants to get paid doesn't mean he doesn't love the city and team. That's absurd.

games 5-7 is 0.41 (9 points)

Everyone is still calling for shannys head, not sure what your reading.

The team is built wrong and shouldn't sign Marner and JT

He already bled the team and fans and wants to do it again... doesn't look like he loves it... only loves it for the right price.

If he loved the team, last contract when he was offered 11x8 at the draft he would have accepted it instead of holding out.

and now, he refused to sign and he was, by accounts offered 12 or 12.5 x 8

Did Toronto try and sign him in the summer? If not this is entirely on the team, imo. Sounds like they weren't confident if they wanted to keep him then and now that they've decided they're going to complain about the player not being sure?

Also if the team really believed that Marner will walk and if they believed in Rantanen they would have gone with Carolinas plan B with the Leafs of Knies +.

Once again I am not disputing the facts I am disputing who is at fault. He won't sign and they can't trade him and none of that is his fault. The team gave him that clause and the 1 guy who said "hey maybe its time we re-examine the whole big 4 thing".....Shanny fired him before he could. Then Shanny let his full no move kick in. Then both Matthews and Nylander were given big time deals yet Marner is expected to take less and do the team a favour.....

The team messed this up and now are blaming him for it.....
